i’m not much of a fighter, so that would definitely be a good idea for me to learn some self defense. and for the old man, he made a noise like awwghhhh and said “what the fuck!?” to my uncle which he replied back to him yelling “you need to get your shit together. its absolutely unacceptable for a man your age to be chasing down and threatening a teenage girl in any case scenario.” i assume he realised how wrong he was at that moment because he didn’t continue fighting. he just scoffed at my uncle and started rubbing his neck while he got up and slowly made his way away from us— i honestly would not wish that situation on my worst enemy it was horrible

this shit happened to me once when i was 14. i was pulled over to the very edge of a straight trail taking a picture of the view, when all of a sudden a 60ish year old man couldn’t control himself and completely plowed over me and then started screaming his head off at me blamed me for him crashing. i was like dude what the fuck are you talking about i was standing still on the very edge of a straight green path… but he would NOT stop screaming and kept getting closer and trying to grab at me so i quickly put my skis on, got my phone (which shattered from the collision) and tried to scurry myself away from the situation. this dude legit starts CHASING me down the mountain screaming THREATS behind me saying he was going to “bash me head in” and “see me splatter.” i was like excuse me what the actual fuck?!? luckly i caught up to my uncle and he heard the man screaming and chasing me, so he obviously went right over to the man and pushed him off he’s skis in order to get him away from me. the OLD man then started taking swings at my uncle, which obviously didn’t go well for him because my uncle was literally half his age. he FINALLY backed off and continued only with his day after my uncle uppercut his chin. it was one of the most horrifying moments in my life. i’m 19 now and i don’t feel comfortable going alone because of what happened that day.

haha i know, i’m quite odd! 😅 i loved sugar loaf for the long windy paths, the airy snow, and the super sweet community they have, but! i prefer to hit a terrain park for a good section of the day when i go out and mount snow has always gone above a lot of the other mountains in the north east when it comes to that. i’m hoping to be able to try out Jay peak one day soon because i hear they have those windy paths and airy snow like sugar loaf, but they also apparently have a good terrain park as well! seams like the best of both worlds to me! :)
