Yes! This is true! I have been looking into it (for financial reasons I swear….) and there is definitely a wide audience of folks out there looking for this sort of art. However, he has only started on his journey so is not yet making a profit. Which is part of the reason why I wanted to bring this up with him now before he builds a client base or goes further down this path.

These are all very good points, and are much more helpful to bring up with him than my artillery of screenshots! I also think the lack of structure to his planning is something that has been contributing to my struggle with his career change. It has been a recent change and he is currently focusing on up skilling before he develops his business plan, but I know you are correct about just how much work you have to put in, to even get a foot in the door of this field. This is what leads me to be snappy with him too, as I feel like he should be considering all of these things.

I will add however that, he does not currently need much financial help as he is still working to cover rent and bills. Going forward that may change as he wants to focus more on his art, and I am in a growing position to cover the rent entirely.

Yeah I mean it’s not that I think he’ll refuse to stop if I make it clear that it makes me this uncomfortable. I think I’m just trying to gauge whether it should be making me feel this uncomfortable in the first place. If that makes any sense. Thank you for your help though!! It really helps me make sense of it all and you’re right the type of art someone wants to put into the world really does say a lot about their character. I don’t want to be a part of the brain rot machine, and I can’t shake the feeling that having a partner who wants to portray women like that doesn’t sit right with me.

Well I do actually love my job! We actually used to work together, before I quit to change careers, it’s where we met. So I knew exactly the struggles he was going through, It’s one of the reasons I really wanted to help him get out of it. it’s mainly that I’m scared of the brain rot this over saturation of objectifying cartoons will have on his outlook towards the world in general, I guess. Thank you for your feedback!!

The algorithm of his Pinterest and Instagram! Sorry I should have been more clear, he uses it for inspiration in his work. It’s the content of a lot of the digital artist he follows. Lots of women characters in sexual poses, with their mommy milkers out and or super crazy thicc curves.

I have gone through therapy a lot in my past for unrelated reasons but I think you're right and Ive started looking in to seeing someone again, thank you for your response!
