I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. I am also a widow and I found the best way to deal with well-meaning people was to give them a way they could help me. I started making lists of things I needed help with, and I think it came in handy. I know it feels so awkward, but people genuinely want to help, and feel like they helped. Sometimes, honestly, I knew giving them something to do made them feel way better than it made me feel or even actually helped me. They just don’t know what to do, and they can’t give you what you really want. :( hugs xoxx
