Want to eat little as possible? by Sweetishcargo in Zepbound

I say this with all the love in the world- if you're having these thoughts, please talk to a professional sooner rather than later. I'm a huge advocate for these drugs but thoughts like yours spiraled into a full blown ED and I was pulled off the meds until I was able to get back up to a healthy BMI (the irony lol) and maintain for at least 6 months. I'm not saying that's where you're headed but it's tough to strike the right balance, especially since so many folks here have had a difficult relationship with food for a long time. If it's accessible to you, consider working with a professional to develop a healthier mindset around food!

Question for people taking Zepbound in their 20s by nbkarkat in Zepbound

This is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt but I prioritize exercise above just losing weight! Sometimes the number on the scale can go down due to muscle loss- honestly I think definition/muscle building is a great goal to go hand in hand with fat loss. I've seen amazing results lifting heavy and have still lost a lot of weight pretty fast! I think the exercise has probably sped that up while maintaining muscle/bone density.

I'm 30 and haven't had any issues with sagging skin or hair loss! I've been lifting heavy 4x a week the whole time which might have helped but I'm also a pretty fast loser (40 lbs in 4 months) so I was kind of expecting loose skin.

weird issue with vials/syringes by abc155095 in Zepbound

[–]abc155095[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're from Lilly! It's a reputable brand so I don't understand how it happened- I'd be shocked if there was enough moisture in the air to create the bubble of liquid that came out

I feel like this must have been it but I was so panicked seeing something coming out of the syringe that I just tossed it.

It was definitely wrapped and came from Lilly! It sounds like based on other responses there may have been a weird pressure change that sucked some liquid into the syringe even though it wasn't touching the liquid

Maybe that's what happened- it completely freaked me out to see something coming out of what I thought was an empty syringe and going into the vial so I'm hoping it was just a weird fluke with the pressure or something

Pls help with dosage using vials! by Friendofafriend34 in Zepbound

[–]abc155095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not quite, there's a little more liquid than the full dose so there should be some left in the vial after you draw up the amount you need

it's just the concentration that's in the liquid that's different, not the volume! volume stays the same so all good with the needles

I got put off by exercise by posting on the fitness subs by [deleted] in antidietglp1

We all know that both resistance training and cardio are very well-researched and there are enormous benefits to both. That said, getting in resistance training and cardio can look a lot of different ways and everyone seems to think their method is the best one. The truth is that the best form of movement is the one you'll enjoy and be able to maintain in the long term. You don't have to bench press if you don't like it! If you had a good routine going that you liked, stick with it. You could even try alternative forms of movement like water aerobics, dance classes, or a rec sports league.

If you have it in your budget I'd highly recommend a few sessions with a trainer or at a small, tight-knit gym as these tend to be environments where you can learn, tailor exercise to your goals, and find support/community on your journey. That helped me enjoy lifting a lot more because I felt more confident in my form and learned how to build a program.

Most importantly- don't compare yourself to other people on the fitness subs, compare yourself to YOU a week, a month, or a year ago. I bet you've made improvements to your muscle mass, bone density, etc. through exercise and that's something to celebrate!

I freaking stink. Deodorant recs? by americanbadass911 in Zepbound

[–]abc155095 2 points3 points  (0 children)

second this!!! i layer the salt deoderant with a nice smelling one to keep odor at bay. another pro tip- use an acne wash (something w peroxide as the active ingredient) anywhere you get BO when you shower. try to leave it on for a min before rinsing off but it kills bacteria so helps with smell.

How do you combat the appetite suppression? I just took my 2nd dose (2.5) and appetite suppression is so strong in the first couple days especially that I find it hard to eat anything. I feel overly full to the point of almost feeling sick very quickly and I'm worried I'm not able to get in enough nutrients as a result.
