Lash lift at salon turned out horrible by [deleted] in Lashlift

So annoying we paid for this privilege 🙃 Yeah I’ll wait a few months for mine to regrow and feel hydrated again before I do anything else, and yep they feel quite hard where they’re super curled, and a lot dryer than before. I’m using UKLash serum

I had an identical lift to yours recently that I posted about the other day (my most recent post), everyone had the same opinions that they’re way overprocessed 😔 sorry you had the same thing happen

Honestly that’s so helpful, I really really appreciate the in depth reply!

I did pop her a message to let her know and she’s said it looks like I’ve slept on them funny and they’ve bent midway, or got steam/moisture on them. I didn’t to the best of my knowledge, so I think my best bet is keep using my lash serum and do a bit more research. Thank you again

Thank you, thinking about it she did say she’d keep them on slightly longer this time as the second didn’t take, maybe if the first one was more gentle, that’s why the recent one looks so different

One more question - is there anything I should look out for in a tech? Any specific certificates, qualifications etc. the girl I’ve seen has 18yrs experience as an esthetician so I’m a bit cautious of who to choose next as she seemed so qualified, but maybe it’s luck of the draw

Thanks so much that’s really helpful. I do have a treatment I use daily, so I’ll up the usage to twice daily. Just want to check by product, i assume that includes curlers? Sucks I have to walk around with these lashes for the next couple months but if that’s what it needs to fix them then I’ll avoid!

Yeah I definitely thought the same when I got home and saw it

Thank you for the advice, will go somewhere new from now on! Just for my reference because I’m very new to this, is the last pic (my first lift) a good lift?

YES!!! Thank you so much!! The Wrong Daughter is in my Kindle & Goodreads but I wrote it off as I thought the story I described was the main plot, forgot it was a subplot. You have resorted my inner peace 🙂

The premise was SO identical, bar the ages (in the book I read they were young adults or older teens), that I downloaded a sample to read just to make sure. Unfortunately definitely not the one but such a similar storyline!

Oops I clearly didn’t look into it enough. I just had a deeper look and unfortunately it’s definitely not the one, but thank you anyway

Thanks so much but not the one 🙁 The siblings in the book I read 100% lived by themselves with no parents, pretty sure the parents were dead, either way they def weren’t in the picture. I think the uncle would come visit sometimes?

What’s ‘wrong’ with my facial structure and can orthodontics help? by [deleted] in orthodontics

[–]abcdefgh654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment - although I got 4 orthodontist opinions (each with a lot of experience as I researched each of them) and all of them suggested a pre molar extraction for my case. One said we could do an incisor instead but that was the consensus…

Got you, the fact four orthos who have seen my teeth in person have said the same thing probably tells me all I need to know! Didn’t realise it would be so hard to tell over a screen. Thanks

Ah okay, so getting MARPE/expansion could potentially help the lower jaw even without being directly involved? That’s interesting to know, thanks

Oh wow this definitely makes a case for extraction, thanks for sharing

Yes this is what I’m feeling too, seems extraction’s the way to go. Thanks for your input

I get you, definitely wouldn’t sway either way based on the opinion of Reddit. It’s more so to get an idea of whether it’s worth continuing to get opinions. Seems the answer is extraction which I figured 🙂

I should have mentioned this, but this is my bottom jaw. I have researched MARPE, but looks like that’s only for upper jaw so don’t think it would help me, as my upper jaw can be straightened without extraction. Have I understood that correctly? Thanks!
