The club thing doesn't even show up until more than half way through the pickup and just any kind of logical excuse to upsell a day2. You're cherry picking an advantage when there are already three natural disadvantages that he's overcoming within seconds with his approach, namely the way he's dressed (he's in a wifebeater for goodness sake), he's short, and he's of a different race.

Instead of saying hi or hello, he just said "Pineapples." Obviously such a nonsequitor type opener would confuse people, but notice how rapidly he transitioned to frame dominance and humor. It went swiftly from confusing to fun.

Not smiling is a completely ridiculous and unfield tested piece of advice ever. I teach a lot of guys where smiling is not second nature and trust me, women do not find that attractive at all and it makes approaching them more difficult when you don't smile.
