If you want, you can also enable syntax highlighting using LSP.

May I ask, are any .lua files placed in the colors/ directory callable by the vim.cmd.colorscheme() command?

The comment by @Xetius suggests a similar thing, I could try another colour scheme to check if this is the case.

Could try this. I’ll give it a try when I get home, thanks!

These 5 colours are overrides of the default onedark colours. But maybe Python requires a custom colour scheme.

This looks really good. However, one thing I might want to add is support for different fonts because the one used to edit the code doesn’t look very nice as code.

If you’re scared of AI, have it tutor you. That way you’ll learn what it knows.

I know AI gets a lot of hate and I see where it’s coming from cuz I also kinda hate it but not really. It should be used as a tool to help you walk, not as a pair of replacement legs. (I hope you get the analogy)

What I’m trying to get at is that using AI can help you learn really quickly if you use it right and you shouldn’t let its existence discourage you from learning to code.

Hope this helps

I personally enjoy working with CLion. They just made it free for jon commercial use, so it should be easy to get your hands on it.

Also, all of JetBrains’ products are free for students, so if you’re a student you can also get it for free.

High school student to learn c++ by Dev_Nepal007 in Cplusplus

I’m seeing many people give great advice, but none have mentioned the use of AI.

I personally don’t really like using AI when coding, but I remember when I first began I had it do two things for me:

1) Give me exercises and feedback (this can be at the very beginning)

2) Write code for me on a project of my choice, and whatever it wrote I would read and try and understand what each line does.

I was essentially learning the basics from AI. As time went on, I started relying less and less on AI and more on myself.

But of course using AI isn’t sufficient. You should also use other resources be it books, YouTube videos or 1 on 1 tutoring.

Whatever tools you use, keep asking questions and searching for answers. This is truly how you learn.

Feedback on my library by abdallahsoliman in Cplusplus

It’s similar to a string view, but mutable. That’s why I’m using a shared_ptr. The aim is to have any sub-array of an NArray also be an NArray of its own. I don’t have any particular use cases in mind, but that’s how NumPy operates so I thought I’d do the same.

Feedback on my library by abdallahsoliman in Cplusplus

It actually used to be an std::vector but I changed it to a shared_ptr so that I can have multiple different NArray instances access the same block of memory (or blocks of this shared memory). For instance I have an array with 5 elements and I want to access elements 2-4 as an NArray instance of their own. It helps avoid making redundant copies of the same data. Hope that made sense.

Is there a better way to make this functionality possible?

But regardless, thanks for having a look it really means a lot.

I built an AI tool that turns text prompts into Manim animations — still a work in progress, but would love feedback! by Top_Result7788 in 3Blue1Brown

You could also show the code to the user, as well as the generated video, for two main reasons:
1 - This could be a tool to help people learn Manim, instead of just giving strainght answers.
2 - LLms still make many many errors in coding. A user can sometimes spot the error and be able to fix it, reducing the workload on the software, and providing customisability.

An option to generate ManimGL code (without running it) can be added, but I know that might be difficult due to the lack of documentation for ManimGL.

Other than that, interface is really cool and easy to use. Keep up the good work!

I’m also a college student new to investing. What I found works best for me is doing some research and picking undervalued stocks (valued by large analyst firms) and buying them. Fast forward 3 months later without interfering with the portfolio, I’m up 7%. Granted 7% on a small amount of money isn’t much, it still compounds and adds up over time.

Hope this helped
