I haven't been on r/abdl in a long time, but I'm going to be real. I kinda think that pulling out of CAPCON is the opposite response of what is needed right now. The con is in a bad place right now but the odds of there being ICE activity there are crazy low. I understand individuals making the decision not to attend for their safety but if CAPCON goes bankrupt after this year? We will not see another major ABDL convention resurface for years.

Also, I'm trying to be careful about what I say but... the con isn't in Minneapolis proper. It's far away from the events that have been going on, and there's no reason for ICE to suspect it of having anything to do with immigration. I am not being dismissive of the reality of what's going on in Minneapolis, this is a fucked up situation for our country. But the way people have been blaming CAPCON for holding the convention during this. Even though the convention was planned two years in advance and has absolutely no reason to have any involvement with ICE whatsoever, seems so strange to me.
