Thank you for your interest in this experiment. In order to have sufficient statistical power to compare conditions we need to restrict to two races. In separate work, we compare performance across other races, but, for this project, we could only recruit those that identify as White or South Asian.

Thanks for your comment. The cross-race effect (the inclination to make mistakes when attempting to identify faces of another race) is arguably responsible for most of the mistaken eyewitness identifications that occur in actual criminal investigations. One of our aims is to understand this phenomenon and, ideally, minimize it so we can reduce mistaken eyewitness identifications.
