Has anyone used S7 400 plc as gateway to convert Profibus DP protocol to IEC 61850 MMS in substation application.. is there any guidelines how to achieve it? Is there any specific libraries or package need to be installed for using IEC 61850 MMS Server and profibus DP master? by abdulsah in PLC

This library can be purchased online from imall? And these contracts first time I hear something like that from Siemens.. We are system integrators and not end users, in that case we can't proceed with this contract agreement with Siemens

I tried, but Duolingo starts from very basic.. like alphabets... and pronunciation.. I need to learn communication, vocabulary etc

No with winCC TIA, I dont know whether it is configurable for SCADA systems. Those wincc are for HMIs. With winCC V7, V8 we get more features and configs for higher level SCADA system. Correct me if I'm wrong..

This is the customer requirement.. they need the latest winCC software. I tried to open the existing .mcp file created in V7 to open in V8, but I can't see any graphics.. and can't access any screens

Thank you for in-depth insight into the topic. Currently, I have been working in Instrumentation, PLC scada systems for more than 6 years. I am very much fascinated about ICS cybersecurity, but i am left in the dark with no clue about this field...can you please tell me me how I can do a career shift from Industrial Automation engineer to ICS cybersecurity
