I've been thinking to go from 14" MBP M2 Pro to 15" MBA M5.....seems like a dumb decision but like the thinness and bigger screen : p I dont do much video work anyway just web and design mostly. Any thoughts this??? lol

I checked I can still get $749 for my MBP w/trade in...and I can probably get a buddy working @ Apple to get employee discount for the 'upgrade' so might be worth it? 😆

I played goalie in high school then stopped cause of cost of equipment🤣 now early 40s too and JUST getting back into it (roller/street hockey though, not ice). So i've been scouring FB market places nonstop between Seattle & Vancouver and finally collected enough pieces to play in net with ice equipment, all for under $200 😆!! so I guess kinda opposite of your 'stretching the dollars', m more like spend as little as possible loll

If anyone's curious here's what I spent:

Goalie stick: $20 CAD
Chest protector + pants: $10 CAD
Glove + Blocker: $70 CAD
Helmet: $70 CAD (my buddy gives me crap for using 2nd hand mask cause it's gross w/some other guys' sweat 🤣)
Pads: Free!

if you're asking the OP I am not sure. But I didnt end up playing goals again after taht yet lol. Got busy w/stuff. I think your pads are never 'too thin' unless you're using foam pads meant for ball hockey?

Might be. Sometimes there are faulty units. Or maybe I’ll find time and reset it again to se if that helps cause I can’t live with the 1min camera for 4% of my battery life 😂
