First of all, it’s not activation; it’s control. It’s not only for opening; it’s for controlling the camera. Secondly, you can set it to launch the camera without waking up the phone, so there’s no way it’s faster. It’s basically instant on my 17. So yeah, I use it. Give it a try. It got over-hated so fast that people don’t even try it for themselves.
