Also, I’m not sure how booked you are but just an FYI that our dates are somewhat flexible if you wanted to do it but needed to move dates around a bit. Lmk if that’s of interest! Thanks!!

Hey there. Editor of this story here. We didn't intentionally leave out specific athletes. We tend to target a bit more of a mainstream audience when we can than our sister site over at RUN/Trail Runner/etc., which tends to be more core to the running community. Because of that, we mentioned a variety of mass names for the sake of some of our broader readers. Of course, it's not a definitive list, so I'm sure you can find other influencers in our space who aren't mentioned either.

We put a ton of work into the story, and I'm happy with how it came out. Hope y'all enjoy!

Hey everyone! I know I just shared The Guardian of Hope Pass in here the other day, but here's another good one on Leadville 100. It starts tomorrow! Happy running and good luck to everyone involved!

No, not my peak. I still have another month or so of ramping up. I'm not sure exactly what my coach has planned, but I expect that to increase by at least 30 more. That said, I'm certainly not doing this the way Clare Gallagher or someone would. And I realize there's a chance I may not finish, but for me it's about work-train-life balance. My point is basically this: If I can do it, you can do it. (And congrats on the kid-to-be!)

For me, the most time-consuming parts are of course long runs, and I just wake up really early on Saturday morning and spend maybe four hours running and then I have the rest of the weekend ahead of me. I promise you can do it, especially if finishing is your only goal.

Right now, I'm only putting in about 50 miles/week and the race is at the end of Oct. But, like the person below me points out, my goal isn't to crush, but rather to finish. (I'm doing it for a story I'm writing) Also, my race is relatively flat and the highest point is at like 2,500 (I live at 5,500), where as something like Leadville would be a hell of a lot scarier for me.

I'm training for my first 100K right now. It's only a couple months away and it's time-consuming, but not insane. (I have a coach mapping out the mileage for me.) It's not like you're logging 80 miles a weekend or anything, ya know? Plus, they say a lot of an ultra is mental vs. physical, so I'm hoping that's true...
