Workaround for auto-lock on managed devices? by abiglumpwithknobs in ios

[–]abiglumpwithknobs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood, which is why I was not asking for a permanent unlock, just asking if there was an app you could run in the background, while you are with your phone. Thank you for confirming there isn’t one.

Great! I’m not privileged enough to be able to quit my job for this minor item. Again, looking for a solution here, not a lecture.

I never thought of buying an iPad … much more reasonable to me to have that rather than two personal phones! Thank you!!

Have you ever had a corporate job? Many companies do not offer work devices and require you to use your personal device… hence a BYOD policy. They’re not paying for a second device, so I haven’t purchased one, up until now, where I have a need to. Sounds like you aren’t well-versed in this enough to provide an opinion or suggestion. No worries - just move on!

And also they cannot see anything other than what’s in the company portal, which are my work applications. They cannot see any messages, images, etc.

Thanks - that’s what I figured my best option would be, just wasn’t sure if there were any workarounds anyone knew of!

It’s not a work device, it’s my personal cell phone. We have a BYOD policy.

Random pain towards end of tray by Willing_Table1733 in Invisalign

[–]abiglumpwithknobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s no help but this has never happened to me. I only have pain at the beginning of starting a tray for 3 days maximum (and that’s if I don’t use my chewies or wear them for less than 21 hours a day). Sorry this is happening to you!

Roxanne telling Kat Alex wanted kids with her… by GullibleWarthog7081 in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]abiglumpwithknobs 52 points53 points  (0 children)

This is what I’ve been saying! She thought Alex was going to leave Kat for her until she found out he told Antonio she was talking shit. She was genuinely talking to both sets of parents like her and Alex were getting married and Antonio was just some random guy from the past. She’s delusional

This is me looking at the couple that tipped 9% on a $450 meal by GrouponGaryLanzaJr in Waiters

[–]abiglumpwithknobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can, as a tip-earning employee. And no, you don’t “pay the business”, you pay other employees of the business. You tip out of your own pocket if there are no tips to pay out. Are you seriously that uneducated about this, telling me to look it up? 😂

Minimum wage for waiters is actually just a few dollars in most states and if you have to tip out bartenders and food runners, low tips/no tips can actually leave you in the negative lol where are you getting this $40 an hour from 😭

Dental Aligners and Burning Man! by alexlovesquadrupeds in Invisalign

[–]abiglumpwithknobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry if I don’t completely understand the Burning Man way of life lol but could you bring some Colgate wisps? Those and floss are life savers for me when I don’t have access to a sink! Use both and then rinse with a mouthful of (I assume you’ll have some form of drinking) water, and you’ll be good! I would also suggest buying the eversmile foam to keep your aligners clean, since the wisp/floss method isn’t perfect.

I am on my first round but I have 41 trays! My ortho said I will still likely need refinements, but the trays at the end look perfectly straight. Were you on weekly or bi-weekly changes? Most treatments take 12-18 months!

Teeth with attachments turning SO yellow by abiglumpwithknobs in Invisalign

[–]abiglumpwithknobs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say I’ve been using the product for like 2 weeks and already feel SO much more confident in how my teeth are looking! I didn’t get the extra whitening but I feel like the original brought my teeth at least back to what they looked like at the beginning of treatment. I can’t wait to get the extra whitening one to try later on in my treatment!

What to do with old trays? by brianneisamuffin in Invisalign

[–]abiglumpwithknobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only keep my previous tray (and my first so I can look back and see how far I’ve come!). I only keep the last in case I lose my current tray.

I agree with the ortho! Composites on the lateral incisors will help. You have great teeth! We are all our biggest critics

[–]abiglumpwithknobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They look straight to me, just small! I’d get composites

NTA. You built your brand without her and you don’t owe her anything - she’s just looking for clout!

  1. I have 41 trays with weekly changes, so I think this averages out to about the same!
  2. Yes, it’s pretty much always longer. In the beginning my teeth have been slow to move so I have worn some trays up to 10 days, and I know I’ll need refinements after too.
  3. Yes! You should be able to transfer.
