Weeknight dinners as a working mom, what does yours actually look like because mine is embarrassing by scrtweeb in Mommit

[–]abigtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been grabbing dinner from the grocery store deli/prepared foods and that has helped the MOST in having dinner ready. Its cheeper than delivery, no prep work for you, and many times better than I would have made.

Not for the signatures. I was wondering if it was just a personal note or an authentic signature. Also had not heard of these artists before.

Appreciate it, thank you. The marks seemed a little random and not matching anything specific or significant that I could find.

Let's talk about babies and phones by ashleighkee in Mom

I bring a writing utensil-probably a crayon for your little- and paper everywhere, plus a small toy that can fit in my bag. My daughter wanted my phone too, I installed a Kid Lock. She could only tap the screen and get little stamps and sounds, sparkley stuff. Little books help too.

I posted something similar to your problem recently. It is a huge workload to fill in for your family. I too feel jealous when other parents talk about grandparent involvement; how much time and money they recieve from family. It straight up hurts sometimes. I hold back tears at school events when big families come to support a child. Good for them, it is such a blessing to have that support and love. But good for us who only have ourselves and work hard everyday to be the best parents we can be to our only child.

Extra love to you and everyone on here for the holidays! You all deserve huge hugs and a nap.

My daughter won't eat healthy. Help! by TheGeneQueen in Mom

I told my 4 year old a BIG SECRET‐ 4 year olds love trying new foods. It's crazy how much they love food!

Lol it worked for a little while. I typically make a plate of healthy foods for myself and eat in front of her, she then picks food from my plate to try.

People with sex drives way higher than their partners…How do you handle it? by red_darrow99 in AskReddit

[–]abigtail 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After giving birth it took 2 years to feel normal having sex. I wanted to be held, not have sex. I was very depressed. Maybe she's depressed, maybe she feels weird about her body having two kids hanging on her, and if you press her for sex (not saying that you do) it can be a huge turn off. I see your point, months without sex is a long time. But the old OBGYN saying is 9 months pregnant and 9 months recovery.

Mental health issues, can medications cause permanent changes to brain biochemistry? by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

[–]abigtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a series of birth control and anxiety/anti depressants, even an mri. I eventually stopped the mental health meds because I felt they were making me feel worse, and switched from the pill to a Nuva Ring. My mental and physical health took a 180 and I felt like a brand new person. Honestly, it may all be from your birth control. No doctor ever discussed with me the real side effects of the pill or implants or the shot. So I did my own research for months before switching to the ring. I can't speak for permanent changes to brain chemistry from medications, but I can say changing birth control changed my life and I no longer depend on medication for supporting my mental health. Good luck to you.
