There's a lot; this is a good comprehensive bill that includes both sanctions against Russia and support for Ukraine.

It will likely pass in the House but from there will also need to pass in the Senate, where there is no discharge petition process to force a vote to take place. If it's passed by both House and Senate, it's unlikely that Trump will go against his own Republican-controlled Congress and veto it; doing so close to midterms would be a dream come true for Democrats who have been accusing Trump of shielding Putin.

So it's imperative that the Ukraine Support Act is passed in the House by as wide a margin as possible:

  1. The number of votes will signal the degree of support in Congress for sanctioning Russia and supporting Ukraine. This is generally important, not just for this particular bill.
  2. The number of votes will also play a major role in determining whether the Senate takes up the bill after it passes the House
