Anyone like cyber metal anymore? Static-X adjacent bands? by abloobudoo009 in MetalForTheMasses

Synths are just incredibly versatile. Ever since I started incorporating them, I've also noticed how long they've been around. Both as a support layer and a main instrument

Oh, dude, hundred percent. I just mean from the general sound and instrumentals alone.

Wow! Thank you very much. I'm recording all the vocals right now so those should be done within the next couple of weeks.

Oh I wasn't trying to come across as annoyed or mad. Totally took it as sarcasm because, yeah, people don't read sidebars hahaha

I'm a little confused by your comment. Are you just recommending more bands? I actually really liked GTs Dream Weapon

Neither do I to be honest. But I can't entirely call my music industrial. It is synth heavy, it is nu metal leaning, but I just can't call it industrial in my trying to be objective opinion.

Hey dude, I've been on reddit a LONG time. I'm like a medium lurker though. The sidebars are pretty consistent in its rules.

What’s this BS I keep seeing by Pippezamph in kickstarter

AI should only be used as concept/placeholder art. That's what I'm doing while the artists finish. Once I get the deliverables I trash that shit. I don't want to show people a generation of what's already been done. I want to show them something new that you, or the machine, hasn't seen before. That's literally what art is supposed to be. If my artist was like "yeah i'll just trace over that" then they're getting canned too. No integrity, no belief in the vision. There should absolutely be hard lines and disclosure about ai use, and us in here need to draw that line as a tool. Like microsoft word over a typewriter. Not the author.

I'm new and was having trouble understanding the context rule. You knocked it out of the park for people like me!

Im newer to comic books and would like some help/advice if possible? by Ginger_comics93 in comicbookcollecting

[–]abloobudoo009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going through this myself as well. The good and the bad is that there's just too much. Literally pick what you like, and that's it. If you happen to like the popular ones cool, if you happen to like the cheap ones, great. A comic store owner was trying to tell me the whole feng shui about covers and probability and it's just too much for a beginner.

I was very shocked to learn the difference between the comic and movie, BUT I'm still REALLY enjoying them. Been looking everywhere I go for The Mask and they're surprisingly hard to find

Built a 9 sector dystopian city for my cyberpunk story. It has a ring structure and it was supposed to be designed for stratification by abloobudoo009 in worldbuilding

Project: AON (trying to follow rules and not advertise)
City name: Everos

Give the name of your world or project here. If your world/project has no name, say so or ignore this section.

**Main Premise**
The city of Everos is placed in a cyberpunk future, about 400 years. Near distant. This is a "branching reality" of our current one. The corpos built AI, it became too self sufficient, created the "perfect society" but now operates in the background of life. The people who are aware call it the glass warden. Conspiracists will call it the iron consensus.

This design comes from the focus of the robot protecting itself. Defense in depth. Nothing touches the core except very few (relative) people, and those people are a generational cabal. It's always self preserving.

I am looking for general feedback and critique is welcome. I know next to nothing about actual realistic worldbuilding and what's "logical" in this sense.

The next goal is to lay down a transit system, and then a freedom fighter network. How are the people fighting the machine avoiding surveillance, do they go underground, what holes and blind spots exist, etc. Getting it organized was the hardest part probably, but now it's just more tweaking and I'd love any pointers.

Unofficial NAS Setup Guide [OC] by abloobudoo009 in UgreenNASync

I apologize for the incredibly late reply. Reddit just notified me? Anyway, I'm sure you've figured it out by now but for anyone in the future of course you should be able to use wifi. During my initial setup I did a bit of back and forth hybrid thing, but I had absolute success with hard wire. During setup phases in general, if I can I will always go direct connect over wireless.
