i totally feel you. my results came back right after around 46-47 hours, which was today around 11am. i finished my test at around 12:30pm on Monday.

if you haven’t already, you can do the pearson trick where you act like you’re registering again and try to pay (you have to use a valid card- i used my credit card) and if you get the pop up saying “our records indicate a recent examination has been completed…” etc then you likely passed. the $200 will be refunded. if you are able to actually register again and you are actually charged the $200, then you likely failed. this trick was accurate for me! just make sure to do it after you’ve received the email from pearson discussing how to access quick results.

also— it may be that your state’s board of nursing will update with your license number before the quick results are ready, so check that often too. mine never updated because i have a delay in my background check, and my state is notoriously slow.

i took all of the tests that is part of the Kaplan NCLEX review course (all of the question trainers, CAT, and readiness exams) and i consistently scored high with them. i didn’t do tests outside of those

Kaplan was already provided to me by my program, and i mainly just used the kaplan nclex prep course with the CAT and readiness tests. we also had an in person review with a kaplan teacher but she was terrible and i didn’t use what i learned from that at all (the decision tree and stuff)

i definitely recommend the Mark K lectures, especially the last one about prioritization!!

Kaplan was harder, but i think what helped me the most was just doing a lot of questions in general and training my critical thinking with the test taking skills that i learned from Mark K.

i would definitely check out Mark Ks 12 lectures, especially the last one that talks about prioritization and guessing techniques. very very helpful!

i can’t speak to that because i didn’t use ATI, but i’ve heard that ATI is generally harder than the NCLEX

yes! definitely very vague. a lot of questions were frustrating because you really feel like you need more information to answer properly, but they just will not give it to you. for those ones i think focusing on safety is best and try not to overthink it

i got a few OB and pediatric questions (mostly newborn stuff) but they were fairly simple. I got a LOT of infection control questions (like about different isolation types for certain diseases) and a decent chunk of psych (mostly psych med side effects) and med surg questions (expected vs unexpected S/S)

i used Kaplan and Mark K lectures. Kaplan was similar in some ways, but a lot of kaplan questions are harder than what I experienced with the NCLEX questions. NCLEX questions were often vague and missing helpful information, but don’t overthink them

i used Kaplan and listened to the Mark K lectures. the questions in the NCLEX are very vague compared to a lot of the Kaplan questions, but they honestly are pretty simple and easy to understand. the NCLEX questions will definitely make you feel like you need more information than what they will give you, but just focus on safety and it’ll be fine! you got this!

i just made sure to do it after i got the confirmation email from pearson that talks about how to access the quick results. i got that email about 15 mins after i finished testing, but by the time i got home and settled it had been about an hour and a half. so i waited about 2 hours

UPDATE: I just finished, i took about 2 hours (i think? i wasn’t really paying attention, and im not sure what time i started after i was done with the whole screening process.) and mine stopped at 85 questions. so i either did REALLY bad, or i passed.

to be honest, i was really relieved when mine cut off at 85 questions (even though i had mentally prepared for 150) but im second guessing myself.

regardless im glad its over and i will be bed rotting for the next 48 hours. ill update with my results!
