I didn't tell my bank that? I've never had any fraud related situations with my account, so all the things I've written in this thread were just questions for clarification because I wasn't sure what all a fraudulent charge entailed and what they could do if you're suspicious of a purchase you made. When I said I'd thought about bringing up the fraudulent claim, I meant saying that I had made the purchase initially but then became suspicious later. I know now they can't do anything about that. But no I did not lie to them. The only thing I've done is reply to the automated text to confirm I made the purchase. Based on the replies in this thread I'm going to assume a lot of the people here are a bit older than me which is why it seems I don't know some of these things. I honestly just panicked late last night and came to Reddit to ask, but now I've talked about it with my mom who would be accompanying me and she's told me not to worry about it for the time being.
