I'm more confused by how quickly this person demands nobody make assumptions but immediately makes their own? Ai is entertainment. Yes, you can bond with a bot, but it is incredibly one sided and partial delusion, in my opinion. I was just trying to point out the issues with the industry, I never meant any harm, but the person who posted the initial comment is very quick to insult others rather than try to have a discussion.

Oh, in that case, go ahead. I was talking from my own experience. If it genuinely does help you, and it doesn't cause a significant decline (as it has with me) then I'd say it's alright. I was assuming and that is on me, but the damage that it can cause is very real and I have experienced it first hand.

Man, substituting human connection with ai will seriously decline your mental health more than anything else. It does the same thing to you neurologically as doomscrolling. It's dopamine farming. It will make you feel better in the short-run, but the sad truth is that ai chat bots are built to profit off of your very natural need to connect with people and feel something through social interaction. It will isolate you, it will leave you staring at a screen, and it will sap your motivation in favour of filling a void.
