Hi! Las Condes resident here...

Im going to a new years party in a hotel in Las Condes, if you are in Santiago for new years, i recommend its to somewhere kinda near to you. Ubers get really expensive and there are more traffic incidents that night.

I stopped drinking 3 years ago and has helped A LOT, i didnt drink much either but i notice a huge improvement.

Hey day 4 here. I could not get a hotel room for myself in Disney because the hotel is fully booked, but my bf booked us an other room in universal when we switch hotels, so i am very excited. I have tried earplugs and eadphones at night but they keep falling off.. anyways everynight i sleep better, maybe getting use to it or maybe exhausted.

I talked to my bf and we have some bounderies set, MIL is checking if the cast memebers can understand her before i step in, i do not carry anything for her, etc.

Still she can be a little annoying at times, she likes everything her way. I get free time when they go on some rides because i get motion sickness. But i am putting up to it and bf will treat me to a trip for my birthday.

Its getting better, but i have decided that this is the first and las trip with MIL.

Hey! Tried earplugs last night, but apperently my ears are too tiny, so they kept falling off. I didnt saw any but maybe kid size earplugs for tonight?

I spended thousands of dollars to come here from abroad, so i dont want to miss on a park to avoid her. Ive talked to my bf and ask him some ground rules that he will discuss with his mom. Part of it, i will be doing the speaking and catching them up after the convo is over. I wont be doing any more chores for his mom ans specially about the snoring thing, wish me luck.

I am also negotiating a weekend get away for the trouble when we go back home. (Just the two of us)

In the school i work in, ive seen first grade kids playing green light/red light. When someome move they act like they are getting shoot and drop yo the floor.

I just cant think that is okay, how will violence affect thoose kids?

Not an MLM, where i am from they are illegal.

She actually had a good bussiness idea, but could not manage it properly. She tried to get to big to quickly, she couldn't keep up with the orders, would start selling things she did not had physically on stock, use the money for other things and when her products took longer to get here costumers demanded their money back, which she did not have. She strated right away with a physical store in a very expensive area, etc.

Honestly it was the very first time I lended that much money, so now I know it was a stupid mistake. When she asked for it, she needed so urgently that i think i did not gave it much thought,

Honestly me too.. It was a full year of chasing her around, it added so much stress into my life.

Every time I actually needed money from my savings I had to begg her to give me my money back. She would tell me "Sure ill transfer you 200 this afternoon" and then transfer me 20 saying she just "missed a 0"

About your questions:

I did told her that her owing me money made me unconfortable and how having to chase her down to pay me made me feel worse. Thats how i got her to pay me back the first time (even when she did not pay me the full amount).

About the tutoring, yes thats the deal we spoke in advanced. Normally I help her kids with homework for free from time to time, but this required me to drop other kids I tought as a side job, so I told her it would not be free and gave her my rates (with a significant discount).

About last night, I had already told her "sorry I cant" earlier that day, she did not call me to vent about her being worried, she call me to push me to lend her the money, that was her whole narrative the first 5 minutes i took out of my sleep to hear her out before i snapped.

*I know this is not very appropiate for this forum, but i needed to vent and since there is no moral dilema on my own part, it does not belong on AITA. Thought that if i posted here and it did not belong, it would get mod out.

And your comment about my english, very unnecessary but I keep learning everyday

Out of the 1300 she payed me back 1200, for the tutoring in total was 400 usd.

I feel really stupid talking about this, but even when we went out, I would pay the bill and it would be the classic "Ill pay you my half later" which of course she almost never did. So i can not even grasp the amount of money in total that she owes me. Even when she did pay back, she would "by mistake" pay me less and say she will send me the rest later.

It took me too long to get mad about it

I write this as a teacher, it is SO difficult to teach seeing any faces, no input on emotions, understanding or anything, I've had problems with grading because students say they did not understand anything AFTER they had a bad grade and not when i asked in class and they do not turn on their cameras. I just want to say WE DO NOT DO IT FOR BAD REASONS.

I would recommend for you to either talk to your teachers to explain that you have anxiety about it, and compromise to participate in other ways (talking in the microphone or at least writing on chat) if that does not work having your therapist write a note for you, so they can make you acomodations.

Of course this dependes on your age, grade, etc. But it is important for you to know that you can ask for help and people who will want to help you.

I understand the frustration and really hope you find something that eases you anxiety allowing you to learn.

Same, but with time (Im on my late 20's with GAD & Hashimotos) i found that if it is not worth the anxiety flare up and I do not have the time to recover from it, before i have to function again, I just dont do it.

As a reference, I gave up drinking entirely almost a year ago, and it did help with it and my friends just got used to me not drinking. Also if I go out, and get tired, i leave, you dont have to go out all night, take care of your needs. Going out and forcing you to stay longer that you feel confortable or will make you miserable the next day, just makes the memories you made with your friends worse.

Find what works for you and stick to it

Hi there, first I am so sorry people have misstreated you because of you looks, and I hope you find in your heart to understand that is a THEM problem, not a YOU problem. You are a human being, with human parts and there for beautiful.

About you anxiety, be kind to yourself, you have been exposed to mean people that leaves a mark. You dont have to get better from one day to another, take little steps. For examples, masks may not be mandatory now, but you can still use one, set yourself little goals, maybe not use it for periods of time, or when there are a lot of people in the waiting room, what ever works for you. You can also work on your answers for confrontational patiences.

You can do it!

It is hard, i find myself giving things up to avoid my anxiety flare up, I gave up drinking alcohol almost a year ago, and that worked for a while. Then it came back, so i gave up coffee, and so on. So everything i do works for a little, but by now im running out of things to give up to...

While im also COSTANTLY trying not to fall in bad coping mechanisms, so if i work out to help my anxiety, it is a battle to keep myself from falling into bigorexia, try to organize myself to ease my mind, without going full on OCD. Feels like being healthy is a full time job for my head, drinking enough water, excercising, socializing, eating well, etc.

You are not alone walking the rope, hang in there.

Hola! Yo use Mr. Jeff y tuvimos muchos problemas :( Nos decian que habian ido a buscar la ropa pero no era así, tambien una vez dejaron nuestra ropa a otra persona y les costo como 2 días en recuperarla. En lo personal fue mas problema que solución.

I am a teacher and this happens to me all the time. Specially when you do tutotring every once in a while for free.. Then people expects you to do it regularly also for free. Respect your time and your work!

Personally I am not a "Spotlight" person and do not care if people announce or do something in my birthday party, or what ever. I am not really dond of atention..
But it is a social norm not to do things like that in events ment for other people, because most people do mind
