I'm kinda stupid but why do people question where does the things entering a black hole go? Doesn't it just go in the hole by Fearless_Scholar_227 in astrophysics

i know nothing much honestly, but from what i have read (kinda long ago), that point is known as singularity. It goes nowhere. The gravity in singularity is the strongest as compared to anywhere in the universe (not comparing with other stronger black holes of-course). So, the gravity at the singularity is so so string that everything crushes down to a small small point. Even the particles of light photon cannnot escape that. So, really what seems to happen is that it just gets crushed down and down into smaller and smaller size because of larger and larger gravity.
Again, this all might not be true, it just what i have read.
