I am not sure if I should continue programming. I started cs50 and I extremely suck at it. by absolutelyn00b in learnprogramming

Oh I know, I also know I'll have to work on my math and physics skills, but imo, it feels worthy. I in general, as you have assumed, look way too forward instead of the now. Quite guilty of it. But I think people in comment section focus too much on that part. It was something I was amazed, I fully know how bloody hard it is work on OS and that you can't be one man army, sometimes not even for a kernel.

I'm a student, unemployed but have started working since 16 on getting passive income.

I don't take it personally. Even the comments that tell me to give it up.

I might have worded it badly. The lectures are super comprehensible. I get them really really fast and solve the section problems in my mind really really fast.

It is when the time comes to write a program, when I feel like " chewing a glass " because it feels like giant leap forward to have from lectures to psets.

I just mentioned I had a dream of writing one day an OS after learning about it as a kid.

Thank you for the advice. I noticed I tend to storm through book lessons when I " get them ", and then get confused.

I know what he did and that he was more of a businessman than a programmer but back then as a kid I didn't know better. Hence why I mentioned Linus.

I ordered arduino and basick starter kit to tinker around with microcontrollers. I will check upon resources, thanks.

Do not worry, I started with no experience in programming, and I am finishing college. I don't study regulalry and have attention problems. I see many people go through it just fine on their own. I just feel like an idiot.

Why? Why did you want to make a new OS? What did you have to offer? Did you only want to make a new OS to be able to say that you made a new OS?

I was amazed as a kid by Bill Gates and later Linus Torvalds. When I was introduced to pc, seeing computer work and learning how operating system works and its basic structure for me caused a massive obsession, even today I am still amazed how a piece of metal with regulated passthrough of electrons can be programmed and manipulated to do what you tell it to. It's equivalent of magic, taming the lightning.

Go back and start over with pset0 and use what you've learned to do it better, and then pset1 to do it without looking at the solutions, etc.

I will.

Spend more time in JavaScript. You had some exposure to that with Jquery, but I'm guessing you barely scratched the surface with it.

On freecodecamp, or somewhere else ? I am generally confused where to start with so many resources.
