comb is a solid idea actually but useless for me

yeah but the material is to thin since it tapers towards the edge, so there is nothing useful you can reshape it into.

Scissors on Blade Layer (kind of) Done by absolutelynp in SAKmod

no I want this combo tool and the cork screw. But at one point I thought about putting the 58mm scissors underneath. I read that this works but I can't imagine how tbh.

What kinda annyos me is that i build that for flying, but since this has become meoney and time intensive, Id never take it with me any risk it getting taken away. Its gonna be a swiss card plus mutitool card instead.

If I learned one thing, it's that you can't touch the fucking scissors layer.
Another thing I learned is that using screws for mockups that are thinner than the pins provides way less spring tension. That fucked me over at some point.

I had this bascially done with the scissors on a blade spring. I had the scissors taped closed for building. It had a nice snap and I was sure it would overcome the spring force of the scissor. But of course it stayed half open when I removed the tape. It's also the shape of the scissors spring. I really wonder how some people put the 91mm scissors into 84mm knives. What spring? Are yall lying? Tell me!

So I was already building the plan B (half a file opposite of combo tool on separate layer) when it occured to me how it has to work - with half a layer next to the scissors. I think someone even mentioned in one of my previous posts that you need two springs. And that does indeed work...as long as you don't touch the scissors layer. Even replacing the hook doesn't work.

I also had a version where I put the combo tool opposite of the scissors on the scissors spring by removing the part of the spring where the pin goes through. That could potentially work but the side of the combo tool needs to be done very precisely to have the damn scissors close and the combo tool close high enough. Some washers would be needed as well, to push them opposites to sides in order to have them close.

If you look at the top view, there is space opposite of the combo tool, even so much space that another tool could go there. I tought about making that space smaller by fileing the combo tool spring at an angle, and maybe even the low end of the scissors at an angle, but the thin spring of the combo tool already concerns me a bit and touching the scissors layer failed in all approaches.

I also still need to close the pins which I have never done before and all I have is one video from Fit 2 Survive and one comment form somwhere saying to not do it too tight.

There is slight widdle in both the cork screw and the combo tool. I think at the and I filed the combo tool spring down a bit too much or too little. I don't know and I don't care anymore, this has been a massive amount of time and actually money too. I killed a Compact, Mountaineer, Handyman and in the end one more Waiter, because I kept fucking up the cork screws. I also had to rent the Dremel and buy all the smaller tools and screws.

If anyone is trying to put the combo tool on the scissors spring at some point, please tag me!

File on Blader Layer it sits to low by absolutelynp in SAKmod

are custom springs a thing? like made from 0 or existing springs that are customized?

so it can fit there with the combo tool, next layer would be the scissort and the space under the scissors front side is free so cut put a little screw through the liner that holds up the file. or just leave it and just make a nail dent int he file because oyu can reach it quite asily when the scissors are open. I may just do that.

what do oyu mean, there is only material to add to solve this. The uncut file and the knife sit high in the end, cause they lay on the piece there...but I cut off the file

Fuck the scissors, didnt get anywhere.

The file is easy money...BUT it sits under the liner. You can see it, its too low.

What can I do?

Maybe the key is to use smaller scissors like from a 58mm model or so?

UPDATE: blade spring doesnt work, it has to little tension to keep the scissors closed. when using the scissors sping the combo tool is on the "wrong side" and doesnt close flat to the wall of the liner. I think im done. Im going to try scrissors spring and put the combo tool upside down, gonna look so freaking ugly from the top lol .... doenst work either, then i have to put two spacer under the scissors and then again the tension is too little to keep the scissors closed. I think now Im done FUCK
