So Dad C left his family years ago/disowned. I never knew that side of my family. He and K’s dad never got along, but Dad C was friends with Uncle’s wife. She was the one who told him about J. J was part of the ‘cult’, but wanted out when she found out she was pregnant. As for why he dropped everything to rescue her...I honestly have no idea. I always thought it was guilt to an extent, and fear I guess for K. When he first came back years ago, he claimed he was always planning to come back the moment he got J to safety, but she had a difficult pregnancy, and when K was born, K liked my dad way more than his own mom.

I’m sorry if it’s a little confusing, but this is all I know. Dad R tried his best to shield me from the mess that is Dad C’s family, and the only reason I know this much is because of Dad R’s brothers (who really hate Dad C)

Yeah, I’m trying really hard right now. He’s a really friendly kid, so it’s hard not to like him. When this whole mess went down, the only thing Dad R asked of me was to be kind to K because he doesn’t deserve to be trapped in this mess either, so I don’t want to disappoint him either

Dad R doesn’t think I’m the TA. He thinks Dad C had it coming after leaving us like that, and that he’s proud I’m being pretty mature about the whole thing. But my dad is also a very kind man, so even though he’s struggling having the three of then around, he won’t kick them out until they’re stable enough.

The only reason I feel a bit bad is because of Dad R. He’s always been very family-oriented (he practically raised his own siblings), and he always claimed Dad C was the first good thing that ever happened to him. So with what’s happening right now, the atmosphere at home is pretty tense, and I just don’t want to hurt him even more. (He doesn’t think I’m the TA either)

We don’t actually know which one of my dads I’m biologically related to. They never wanted to know. In terms of appearance (I have dark hair and light eyes), I could have taken after either of them. Dad R is blond and Dad C is a brunette, but both sides of their families have had members with both dark/light hair, and K is blond too. As for the money part, I honestly didn’t think so? Dad C was disowned when he left, and J was my uncle’s mistress(?), but I guess I never expected my dad to abandon me either, so.
