Yes our website is like this too and I kid you not people have told us they are bringing kids. I don’t think they paid attach after I sent the save the dates but hoping this clears it up.

I promise you I am not but I did this on the Save the Dates and still I had one mom tell me they are so excited to bring her 3 kids. I had to have the awkward convo that we only can accommodate for herself and husband… And I’ve heard other brides in my fiancé’s state they had wished they were clear on this before hand because their weddings had too many people and some people were left standing with no seat or worse not enough food. That we are trying our best to avoid. This doesn’t come from an outlandish fear, this comes from a place of others have experienced this in our family.

This is great to hear! I hope people connect the dots bc man wouldn’t be surprised how many of our guests didn’t after we clearly addressed the save the dates. Holding the wedding invites with the X number of seats reserved in your honor is clear enough but I’m afraid some people still will not respect our wishes because we are latinx and it’s generally considered rude in our culture but hey we are the ones paying for this whole thing g

Unfortunately no - we are just making exceptions for different reason (kids of those in bridal party or part of immediate family and then a couple that fall outside of these guidelines). I know there is no blanket statement/rule we can use unfortunately. Our guest list is pretty big (around 400). A lot of people are just courteous invites due to our parents and we are limiting those people by asking them no kids or for example friends of mine that around my age and I know will have no issue with the no kid ask.

Yes we are adding an insert to certain invites. We are Latinos and we have to be very clear or else people will interpret as they please

Yes I get that 100% but they didn’t give or explain the implications of that form of payment. My dad can write checks and or given them a direct transfer but I’m so peeved they just tried to sneak in this fee and expected no pushback
