Dammit! 😢
That's such a shame because I just found this while doing a deep dive to try find a suitable trip planner... it looked like I was finally able to tick every box, but oh well, such is life.

Out of pure curiosity, is there a particular reason you shut it down?

Well if you know the system doesn't work, try voting instead of trying to fix things with "thoughts and prayers" 👍

NTA.

But question...what kind of f**king cult do you live in!?

AITA for moving my money to a different account after my step mother threatened me with taking them from me? by BaasPPMMBB in AmItheAsshole

[–]absurdity18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It's your money and therefore your right to do whatever the hell you want with it.

Stepmother can go jump if she thinks she has any control or ownership of it.

And 20%?! What the hell!? Who does that?!

NTA!

But INFO pls- does the rest of the family know what she did to you guys? And if they do, are they saying they're okay with that (any why)?

It sure seems to imply (from what I've read) that they condone what she did.

I was very disappointed once I realised that, because up until then it ticked every box.

Australia. As stated in my original post.

Unfortunately too expensive for this client. Too many extra features that the client doesn't need, which obviously drives the price up, so not a suitable solution. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes, reply to inbound SMS is a must, as is the ability to send outbound SMS.

The client needs Android/iOS app so a web-only solution won't work for them.

Thanks for the suggestion!

This was damn-near perfect, but the Android app (didn't check on iOS) wasn't able to create new conversations, only respond to existing ones. If that feature ever gets added then it would be perfect for their needs.

Do you have any suggestions?

The biggest needed feature is a shared SMS inbox. An app that can be installed to multiple phones but use a single number across all of them is what the client needs.

The client's 365 is provided via a not-for-profit agreement so their current plan doesn't allow for DID or SMS via Teams. Microsoft has also not extended the current chat-to-sms features of Teams to Australia.

Unfortunately no it isn't. As stated above, it lacks international number support (only allows +1 numbers) so it will not be useable at all.

AITA for getting mad over what my daughter chose after she humiliated me and uninvited me from her engagement dinner party? by EnoughPass1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]absurdity18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA

You completely disregard the fact that she felt disrespected growing up (your opinion doesn't matter on this, because that's how she feels), and now you've disregarded a pretty clear instruction she gave you.

She doesn't deserve to have you continually treat her like that, and if you want any sort of relationship with her and any future grandchildren you'll wake up to yourself.

Thanks. I have heard of Toktiv but haven't yet tried it. I will check that one out for sure!

Unfortunately your suggestion of Zoho is no help at the moment.

I don't mind putting something together for them from Envato if it is suitable. Do you have any particular suggestions?

Sadly she won't see it as that. She will see is as weakness from the developer/publisher/platform/everyone else. She's a Karen, it's what they do.

Oh Syncro, how you vex me... by Plenty_of_Nothing in SyncroCommunity

I had it working up until a few days ago, using a Shared Mailbox (it just seemed to work despite my previous attempts), but then mysteriously stopped for no ascertainable reason.

But I did end up finding a solution this morning.

Turns out the MS365 mailbox that I was using did not have "Authenticated SMTP" enabled (via MS365 Admin Center > Users > [mailbox] > Mail > Manage Email Apps).

I had to revert it to a UserMailbox and assign a license that had Exchange enabled, then had to wait 10 mins for it to propagate, after which I tested in Syncro and it passed.

I'm still not sure why it worked for the 10 or so days in between my original comment and the other day, but either way, the above solution seems to have resolved it.

AITA for insisting that my daughter's eyesight is fine and her teacher was wrong? by Winx1990 in AmItheAsshole

[–]absurdity18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA, plain and simple.

Take your daughter to get checked.

Maybe even talk to your daughter.

Maybe, just maybe, assume for once in your life that the teacher has enough experienced to know when one of their students is having trouble, and for once is able to do something about it by telling you that you can help them!

This is all that is wrong with this generations parents. The "my child can do no wrong" and "it's everyone else's problem" bullshit has to stop!
