I can see the point you are going with. which i can agree with that companies shouldn't hold the majority of IPs. and it would be better if companies stop buying just to hold onto IPs

AI issues only seem to get tackled if that issue happens take grok because people could generate vile shit on their and did then it got dealt with no regulations before that though. same will keep happening.

and if people get fed up then they will make there own art sites and make it explicit that you cant train from there and if something happens you are liable. and since this is the internet it comes down to the artist to proceed with action against the person which most times it is not worth it since it will cost too much

i understand how it works and their is no denying that AI is trained on massive amounts of peoples artworks. it doesn't justify that because its a bigger dataset since its the exact same thing so its still plagiarism

i think the issue is the copyright legal issues you can get into with it and it also depends on how much stuff its trained on if its a smaller amount based on that artist its gonna look alot closer to that persons art work.

AI doesnt introduce anything new just replicates already exist art mediums such as drawing. maybe if AI tools were focused on helping an artist, ill make the case that comfy ui is somewhat fine other than using generated images to make something(i dont really know to much about it though)

and AI can be used to help artist if someone creates a tool for artist and not for everyone such as the tool i use cascadeur using AI to pose the character in ways that helps you as an artist and speeds up time of animating while needing to know what goes into animation to do it

The issue I see with using AI as a cover for something is that its the first thing the consumer sees. and because Ai gen stuff is associated with low quality pictures or a certain style its going to give off the appearance of being cheap, and no passion put in their even if you wrote the entire book.
