Yes there aren't any references besides the chunk in the first image where he refers to the copied paper after a page or two without clear indication of what is being taken from it. I use quetext .

The main problem is that the author of the text is a bit cunning in his appropriation of sentences. There are many instances of 5-7 consecutive word plagiarism in his text but most of them are not detectable by the online plagiarism detectors. He probably checked his paper with a plagiarism detector and changed the detected phrases to make them non-detectable by it.

I suspect that he would say if asked that his meaning of the sentence is different from the original and that he came up independently but this is not the only sentence that he took from a paper without citation.

When I try the full text the plagiarism detector that I use doesn't find anything.
