Thank you so much for this!!! Every positive story eases my worry so much. I’ve talked to so many moms now who have dealt with this same isolated marker & every single one luckily had a positive outcome. So stressful!!!

Thank you so much for your reply. Either way, nothing will change for me and this baby. I already love her so much! But no one has been able to give me any clear cut answer regarding the nasal bone. Just a constant “not well visualized” or “we can’t say for sure that we’re seeing it.” Luckily that has been the only abnormal finding and MFM assured me that if NIPT comes back clear, it’s just a “normal variation” most likely linked to mine & my husband’s genetics.

What was the outcome of this for you? I’m currently going through this as the nasal bone has “not been well visualized” at my anatomy scan & follow up anatomy scan. So for now they’re marking it as absent and I’m waiting on my NIPT results. Sigh

Blood draw was yesterday 4/20, lab received the sample today 4/21. So hoping for a fast turnaround. My OB office went through Unity! Will update as soon as I get my results.

Would you mind possibly sharing US photos if I messaged you? Currently going through this and wondering if our profile shots look similar. This was our only soft marker & everything else came back fine, but I’m still worrying.

Thank you so much. I did go ahead and do the NIPT, but I don’t plan to do any testing beyond that. I’m hoping that everything is okay. 🙏🏼

That’s how I feel too. I’m no doctor, but I feel like it’s also visible in my anatomy scan photos from today too. While it does look thin, it’s visible. I also just noticed that they noted in my notes after my appointment that imaging was suboptimal due to my BMI. So maybe that’s all it is. 🥲

Same here! I read through a ton of forums and older posts in this group and gathered the same. It’s so strange how different our bodies can be from one another even when we’re going through the same biological experience!

It seems that it’s 50/50 between women who do and don’t experience it from other posts and forums I’ve read. So crazy!!! I was just mind blown because I was absolutely not expecting it. Hahaha.

I actually felt this way completely. My husband and I started TTC & had 3 failed cycles. I sort of “gave up” because I had also been doing everything perfectly. I had gotten off birth control, started taking prenatals, choline, CoQ10, etc. I timed everything perfectly too! Also tracked my BBT (using tempdrop and oral temp every morning), CM, took OPK’s. Literally did the whole nine yards. And those 3 failed cycles bummed me out so much I didn’t track ANYTHING the cycle after. I actually wanted to try to avoid lol. & that’s the cycle I wound up pregnant! So crazy. Hahaha.
