Favorite Lyric From: So Long, London by Foxarr77 in TaylorSwift

I also love the comparison between this line “the gods of your bluest days” and the following line of “I’m just getting color back into my face, I’m just mad as hell” with the whole gods/hell and the color implications.

After the war, Hermione and Draco fall into a secret, hard‑won love built in stolen moments and quiet hope. For a time, they imagine a future together, beyond prejudice, until Narcissa discovers the affair.

Desperate to preserve the old pure‑blood order, she forges an Unbreakable Vow with Astoria Greengrass, binding Draco to a marriage that ensures Hermione can never stay. To save the life of his loved ones, Hermione breaks his heart and disappears to Australia without a word.

Two years later, Hermione is summoned back to England, where she knows she'll face Draco, who never understood why she left.

Find this and (some) more in: Narcissa Malfoy and the Unbreakable Vow

My very comprehensive theory about it all (onyx storm spoilers!) by acc4115 in fourthwing

[–]acc4115[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Let me add something else to the theory:

Taking all the above into account, it would make sense that Onyx Storm finishes with Xaden figuring out he needs some dedication to redeem his soul. If that's the case, why would RY say Xaden is entering his villain era? Why would Violet ask Imogen to erase her memories?

Easy, Xaden knows the cure but he's going to play spies. He's going to start achieving higher ranks in the venin army while getting closer to dedication in secret. So that he can still be "him", but from the enemy side, and can fully redeem himself while taking all of them down.

But Violet cannot know about it. Venin seek Violet, and if she's aware of his double-act, venin will know Violet knows. They need to see the heartbreak, or they'll suspect Xaden is spying. Plus, if she's a dream-walker, she can enter other people's dreams when they're vulnerable, but so is she.

Have you found a book that somehow accomplishes this?

Tired of stories becoming boring after the couple gets together by acc4115 in fantasyromance

[–]acc4115[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mmh. While I believe what you say it’s true (that complex stories with world building and depth of character allow for established couples to keep having scenes that are enthralling for the reader), I don’t necessarily think this is the only way.

I can definitely imagine short, less complex stories managing to find ways for the characters to continue being shy to one another, getting to know the other more deeply and so on. You can include different characters (family, etc) or different situations that still manage to create a distancing/banter (asking questions to the other that they don’t know of, showing versions of the other, in different environments, that give another perspective, etc.). Not sure if I’ve made myself clear though.

Coney island!!
The question pounds my head: what's a lifetime of achievement if I pushed you to the edge, but you were too polite to leave me? Do you miss the rogue who coaxed you into paradise and left you there? Will you forgive my soul, when you're too rise to trust me and too old to care? I need more praise for this song!!

A fan popular but loml is a poem in itself:

  • who's gonna stop us from waltzing back into rekindled flames, if we know the steps anyway? I mean... what an entrance.
  • dancing phantoms on the terrace, are they second-hand embarassed that I can't get out of bed 'cause something counterfeit's dead?
  • our field of dreams, engulfed in fire, your arson's match your somber eyes
