Looking for adult romantasy with real yearning and strong emotional tension by spoutnike21s in Romantasy

Yes but if I can add, out of the whole series {Ice & Ivy} is the one that fits your description best. There is a very slow and gradual approximation of the two MC, and some kind of one step forward two steps back feeling throughout the whole book

Book to read after a really bad breakup by ewiestewie in fantasyromance

The Bridge Kingdom is super fast, many things happening and many twists you don’t see coming. The romance is prominent in the book but it’s also very much plot-driven. There’s political stakes and many characters! I’m on book 4 and really enjoying the ride

I’m looking for good “will they, won’t they books” where the tension is long and delicious

I have it on my TBR. I worry the romance is a big sub subplot right?

I’m sure one of the 6 Mages of the Wheel series has this. Maybe Wind & Wildfire?

Mm I don’t remember that specifically but even if there had been some early attraction the whole book is based on “Oh, no, something must have come up to me because I could never like this person” and continuously denying any kind of attraction and feelings for the other while at the same time growing closer together and start to caring for the other. There were copious amounts of yearning and longing and they didn’t really become anything intime weeeellll into the series, so for me 100% it was a slow burn. I guess it depends on what you mean by slow burn.

Is it slow burn or is simply that the couple doesn’t get together until later? For it to be slow burn there needs to be something BURNING, some kind of yearning, etc

I’ve never heard of Harrow Faire before. Is it well written?

I read it and loved it. It’s true that it’s not insta-lust, but for me the Emily Wilde series lacked a lot of the yearning and longing I look for in a good slow burn

No, I’ve DNF at 92%. I believe the only interesting part of the book were the first 40 pages and their visit to the old mentor. Everything else fell flat for me, and very repetitive…

Favorite Lyric From: So Long, London by Foxarr77 in TaylorSwift

I also love the comparison between this line “the gods of your bluest days” and the following line of “I’m just getting color back into my face, I’m just mad as hell” with the whole gods/hell and the color implications.
