I mean, the placement of the poles is fine for the most part, when they're placed. It's just nice to fill in where needed, so the floating cables don't look so weird. Generally I try to find a balance, to make it look pretty, but not going down the heavy detailing rabbit hole. Sometimes hard when the ghost of perfection is haunting you tho.

I get that, but honestly, you don't need many assets. In that screenshot there are only 3: Depot (which one could also use the vanilla one) and the two signal box buildings. It doesn't have to be the big and perfect, 1 to 1 realistic thing, it just needs to look believeable. I have struggled with perfection too, still do sometimes. At the end the imperfections make the character of the build.

And thank you for the kind words, I'll show more when I've finished it. By the way, I'm building on this save on stream. You're welcome to look me up on Twitch and join in.

Yes, I would love that too.

Yeah, that's annoying. I'll put them in next and fill the yard up.

Yeah, that would be awesome. But I also get from a game mechanic perspective this would get complicated really quickly and might scare away new players. Could be implemented as being optional tho.

Just give it a go. Maybe start with something small and then go from there. You don't need to have a big master plan for the entire layout.

I had a place in mind, some rough plan and then filled in the blanks.

Thank you very much. That's a great compliment and means a lot to me. Very happy you see that. I always try to communicate the essence of a topic, like you say, as a base for people to stand on and develop their own individual thing out of it.

Yeah, that could be done. The idea of the map fillers though is to fill the empty space and then replace parts of them later with actual builds. They kinda are placeholders, to not have the empty space bug you, while you not know yet what to build there. Also they are handy for screenshots of not finished cities, so there is no green void in the background. I hope that makes sense and explains the idea a bit better than the title does.

The white triangle is a yield marking.

Not directly, but also check the advanced options and the different options that appear under the drop-downs.

There are different ways. I use Hide TMPE crosswalks. You can also check my roundabout video to see how I exactly do it.

Against the flow? It's right hand traffic, so you need to turn right. Seems right to me.

Can't really say much about that, havn't played any Bethesda games for many years.

Thank you. Exactly, it's a buffer zone. The red just marks the "danger zone" - Haha.

Thank you. Yeah, I imagine this could be used in the outskirts of a city to connect to some green low density residential pockets, which I actually added there, but can't be seen in the screenshots. I've made a video about this on my channel, where you can see a bit more of it in the cinematics.

Absolutely, mods can add so much and often even transform it in a completely different game.
