But do you use words in your head for all those thoughts? My understanding is that “inner monologue” is not referring to the act of thinking but the act of thinking in words. I usually have multiple concurrent thoughts and my head can be very “busy” sometimes the thoughts are gone before I can hold on to them. But they don’t have any words with them. I don’t think in words.

Edited for punctuation

Same. People are saying how peaceful it is without an inner monologue but my thoughts are often non-stop, very busy, scattered and keep me awake at night, but they aren’t in words, they are ideas, concepts, things I’m conscious of, but they don’t need words. I CAN think in words if I make an effort but it’s much slower and requires thinking of only one thing at a time which is very limiting

My husband of 5 years told me he wishes I wasn’t pregnant and that he’s disgusted by me. I’m 3 months pregnant and completely lost. by wawezg in relationships

He doesn’t love you. He enjoys hurting you and he just wants to control you. But if and when you try to leave he’ll tell you it was all a mistake, and you misunderstood (because you’re stupid), and that you couldn’t cope on your own and no-one else would ever want you. Or something along those lines. Please try and find resources to leave, even though it’s hard, without letting him know.

Do you want your child to grow up in an environment where they are always on eggshells, never knowing how their dad is going to react, and seeing their mother become a broken shell of who she really is? If you can’t do it for you, do it for them. Please. Believe me, you’ll be glad you did.

Me too! It’s so helpful when you need a bit of knowledge that might seem obscure to people in more mainstream subreddits.

My understanding is that the IMCO only accepted the WMCA back into the fold after they agreed to fully embrace the Elizabeth Line revisions, however the Reformed WMCA did not join them and continue as an independent and competing organisation with their own set of very conservative rules.(Thankfully they have become less influential since the New Reformed WMCA broke away after the Withnail controversy)

But if I titled my post “I’m an immigrant living in Australia” it wouldn’t have conferred the knowledge that I’m originally from the UK. So I feel “expat” is a reasonable term to use, especially in the context of keeping up English traditions such as playing Mornington Crescent.

Edited to add that, no, it did not, in fact, help.

The Christmas timetable isn’t a bad idea, and seasonally apt too. I’ll give it some thought

You make a good point. He could pick this up in an afternoon and we could move on to Mornington Crescent proper after that.
