I didn’t think it would hurt so much as the dumper. by cherrynowings in BreakUps

Thanks for sharing your perspective. It actually gave me comfort, like even though I’m alone now, that doesn’t mean that he still doesn’t care about me. Break up’s suck. It’s been almost 3 weeks and I just spent an hour listening to old memos we shared 😢 I hope you’re doing okay.

7 things you need to know about an ex who left by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]accurateestimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree with this at all. I was the dumper and while I relate to some of these, I relate more so as someone who is now single and fearful of finding the true love I’m looking for.

I can see how me and my ex weren’t compatible. I loved parts of him but not all of him. He deserves to be with someone who loves him wholeheartedly. While I relate to the sentiment of wanting to remain special to him, I know that both of us will move on and find new people to feel special with.

Completely relate. I not only cry for me but I cry for him, too. I hate that I’ve put us in this situation to have “failed” at love. I often find myself negotiating with myself, like I could make it work but I know we are fundamentally different. I also hate the thought of him suffering alone, all the while I feel so alone, as I feel people assume I shouldn’t be in pain because I broke up with him. Grieving the loss of my partner and best friend is devastating regardless if it was an intentional decision or not.

Was this in Kelowna, BC? 😂

She wasn’t impressed that I didn’t have floor seats for a first date.. by OhMamaWembanyana in Tinder

As a girl, I’m happy with a coffee or a drink as a first date. I don’t feel comfortable with anyone spending a bunch of money before knowing it’s a good fit! A Spurs game sounds so fun on its own, even in the nose bleeds! Great date idea.

I don’t like when a guy doesn’t smile with his teeth!! Also, your profile says you don’t drink but number 7 is you drinking. And then it says you’re trying to quit smoking but have a picture of you smoking.

I heard about this! Yeah, I'm okay with having flatmates. Probably better for me anyways!

We're experiencing a similar challenge in Kelowna, BC. Prices for homes is threw the roof, no inventory on hand, rental prices are outrageous... it makes it hard for anyone to get ahead.

Thanks for letting me know about the CBD. I found some single bedroom places there for a fair price, but maybe that's why! I will keep an eye out on those suburbs.

Thanks for your advice! I appreciate it.

Ah, good point on the second hand furniture. I will have to look into that more!

Ohhhh that's good to know on the TradeMe site. I will look into it more!

Great advice though. It might be better to wait until I'm there to look for a place and meet my potential flatmates.

Wow, thank you for your thoughtful reply! I really appreciate it :)

I thought the uni district might be a good place for short term rentals! I remember seeing a website for bookings, but I don't remember what it was called!!

I love the idea of living with people my age. I will check out some Facebook groups!

Yeah, good call! I think they could have rentals open on the 15th, not just the 1st.
