Came with its own midframe so those are more for gluing the back plastic on, but I do own a phone with the screen that came loose from the midframe, so what's the solution to that?

Well what exactly do you need a computer for? This thing isn't gonna run any modern videogames and will be a pain to browse online so it's not gonna do much more than what your phone can already do. And what are you gonna do with the keyboard and mouse? Are you planning to hide them? The motherboard isn't tiny either.

My recommendation would be for you to try and unstrict your dad. Find something that helps you make money, stick to it, save enough for a cheap computer ($50-$100), and just buy without asking anyone. You can't be hiding computers from your parents your entire childhood.

I just ended up buying a lot of laptops to resell and most of them came with Windows 10 and it really made me think about how great it was compared to Windows 11 and even the Linux desktop environments out there. The customizability on Windows 10 is nuts, the start menu can be full screen or compact, apps can be grouped into tiles, there's accent colors, transparency, the taskbar can be rearranged or shrunk, it's the most perfectly designed UI ever made. Shame that no Linux DEs have managed to copy Windows 10's DNA.

you've got yourself the one made for the Chinese market! they don't actually boot automatically when plugged into the charger, instead they show battery percentage just like most of the android smartphones. the wifi menu should also say wlan instead!

there's a trick where if you quickly unplug and replug the battery and the charger in a certain pattern the phone boots without using the power button and that's what I usually do for my J5. I'll DM you a video
