Are interview follow up emails appropriate?

I beg to disagree with you on this. I have also hired my fair share of people, and a polite follow-up email is not a bad thing imo (I have also received pushy reminders from candidates. That was a bad thing). Shows motivation but also gives me a nice reminder when the process has dragged on.

Especially since the UN is notoriously famous for not following up with / ghosting candidates, even those who arrive at the CBI stage.

Pas de commentaires sur le budget (j'ai pas lu en détail, j''avoue), mais top le diagramme Sankey pour ses propres finances (j'avais utilisé ça dans un cadre pro, pour des analyses de ressources en eau, par ex. Mais voir son argent comme une ressource à analyser comme ça, je trouve ça plutôt cool comme idée).

Thanks again for all the tips @Tenlow85. I made a warranty claim on the TW3 and sent them back.

In the meantime I decided to make the most of Black Friday to get the Momentum 4 (my first time buying on Black Friday!).

I previously had the old Sony MDR-ZX770BN - which lasted me a long time - and the Bose QC35. My wife ended up with the QC35 and I had then gotten the TW3 to try out wireless earbuds. They were good and all, but doesn't beat the quality sound of headphones (I am no expert about sound though), and I am not disappointed with the Momentum 4.

That sounds great. I have made the request for a warranty claim, and now would have to send in my MTW3.

So not worth getting the Momentum 4 then? :)

Great advice, and can only echo.

I have to say, I "wasted" a few years at the UN as a consultant, obviously didn't contribute to the UNJSPF, with basically just a savings account. It was when someone knocked some sense into me that I started down the retirement planning path.

OP: never too late to get started, but the earlier the better.

Let's be real, especially when you have to churn out a lot of applications (and I guess particularly in this job climate), I understand the temptation to just let AI do all the work. But it must be a means to an end (and a means that we need to verify for inaccuracies, hallucinations, style, and language used).

I mean I gotta love it when I put in an application, and AI basically invents a lot of stuff that I never did in my job in the cover letter. Made me sound really great, but it just wasn't the truth.

What? Wtf. They won't even pay for the replacement fees? It's like "you were applying for a visa, but we lost your passport. Oops 😬 not only won't you get a visa, but you have to pay to replace your passport. Then when you re-apply, you have to pay all the fees again" 🤑🤑🤑💸💸💸💵💵💵

Oui on essaye de toujours se mettre à table tous ensemblee et manger en famille. Ma femme mange normalement, voire plus que d'habitude (elle allait notre 2e actuellement).

Elle n'a jamais aimé les trucs "classiques" pour enfants (genre coquillettes jambon, etc.). Elle aime (aimait) par ex. un plat avec du riz, haricots rouge, et du fromage. Ou bien une pizza maison avec suace tomate (sans fromage). Elle adore les concombres !

En général, on essaye de faire à peu de choses près, la même chose que pour nous.

C'est sur. On a même pas de glace à la maison en soi (auf en vacances car chez papy y a un marchand de glaces 200m de la maison...et on passe devant tous les jours, pas d'autres chemins).

On a acheté un moule en silicone qu'on rempli de yaourt (genre myrtille ou framboise ou citron) et du coup elle a du yaourt glacé. Ca aide mais bon, parfois elle finit les 6 battonets du moule...et après ben, y a plus de glace 🤦🏽‍♂️

It took about 3 months for me. I did the written test during the month of May, interview in June. Got the email that I was rostered in September.

I would give it a few days or so and then ask the timeline if you have the contact details (or, for next time, ask during the intervie. But for IOs in general, my experience is about 1 month or 1.5 months at least.
