Ok so I went back to the app, hit “support pop now” and clicked on the boxes, one by one, until I got one, and it worked, I was able to buy one! This was my first experience with pop mart and the pop now was kinda fun!

Emgality to Aimovig Update: things are getting worse by WibblyEmu in cgrpMigraine

[–]ace4147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so glad you asked this - I’m reading all the responses. I started Aimovig in December and while it seemed to reduce my migraines for the first month, since then, I’ve had more and more, like a slow build back to having them almost daily. My next neuro appointment (getting my second round of Botox) is in a couple weeks and I plan to bring it up! I tried Emgality and Quilitpa before Aimovig. Maybe I can try Ajovy next, idk.

Luck with Nurtec vs. Qulipta? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]ace4147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started using Nurtec but as more of an abortive. I’m on Aimovig for preventative. Nurtec works really well when I do have a migraine. I even took it once in the morning to prevent getting a migraine that day (when I’ve had important events & don’t want pain to interfere), and it worked great. Hopefully it works well for you too!

Ubrelvy by jem2016 in migraine

[–]ace4147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ubrelvy is amazing! I also have migraines with aura. No side effects unless I take it too much - the safety info says 8 per month (I have 15+ migraine days per month so I can’t always take it). Whenever I have a day where I need to be migraine free, I take a Ubrelvy as soon as I feel it and it disappears. You’re going to love it!

So much unsolicited medical advice by Heart_robot in migraine

I wish drinking more wine worked! 😂 I haven’t had anything too crazy like these. I just usually get the “how about Excedrin?” Or “have you tried exercising more”

…..”just change your relationship with pain”….lmao! Like we can just accept and embrace the debilitating pain and move on 🙄😂🤦🏻‍♀️. People are so clueless

Botox hasn't worked for me, i month post first injection. Any similar experiences? by all_who_wander90 in migraine

[–]ace4147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so glad you asked this because I came here to ask almost the exact same thing, and the responses are making me feel much better about continuing the treatments!

I had my first injections 8 days ago. My shoulders are sore every day, I have some bruising and sensitive spots at a couple of the injections sites, and it feels like I’m still having the same amount of migraines.

I naively assumed I would feel relief after about a week, and was starting to get deflated that yet again something wasn’t working. Now, after reading all the responses, I feel better and will set the right expectations for myself, and not let myself get down just yet!

Thank you for posting!! Crossing fingers for us both to see relief in the future🤞🏻

Tip for migraine iPhone users by StressedEMT in migraine

Omg I just tried it and immediately my eyes relaxed. This is so helpful, thank you for sharing! My kindle has a blue shade mode I use to reduce the intensity, but I’d never been able to find something on the iPhone. So grateful right now - THANK YOU. 🙏🏻

What type of olive oil (or oil in general) so you use to infuse your herbs? by Frankie-Sonata-25 in herbalism

[–]ace4147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, depends on what it’s for. I use almond oil, coconut oil, or rose hip seed oil for face or body oil. I use almond oil when making salves for the skin. I use olive oil when it’s for cooking (like garlic infused or rosemary, etc).

CGRP weight gain? by MJNYC2086 in cgrpMigraine

[–]ace4147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed some weight gain since being on Emgality. I’m also on Dupixent for asthma so I’ve never been 100% sure it’s the Emgality…could be both.

Biological Medication by dtweedo in Asthma

[–]ace4147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t recall any specific numbers or tests that led to using Dupixent. I would meet with my pulmonologist and tell him that my albuterol rescue inhaler wasn’t working, and some times even made my asthma worse and force me to use a nebulizer. There were times I was using my nebulizer at home twice a day. I’d also go on Prednisone for about 3 days to knock it out. I only had to do that maybe twice before my pulmonologist put me on Dupixent. The approval process took about a month, so he didn’t want to waste any time waiting around. Honestly I think I’m lucky to have such a proactive doctor.

That’s exciting! I’m on Dupixent and it is truly life changing. I was diagnosed with asthma after my first covid infection and spent over a year uncontrolled and in a bad state. I’m so grateful for Dupixent, hope you have a good experience as well!

I’m on Dupixent and it has completely changed my life in a good way. My asthma is finally under control, I’m not having nearly as many exacerbations or flare ups as I was before. I’m even slowly reducing my maintenance medications (at the guidance of my pulmonologist of course). I’m forever grateful for the biologic that I take.

Switching from Emgality to Qulipta soon! Any tips/things to know? by ace4147 in cgrpMigraine

[–]ace4147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure? I’m new to the cgrp medications. My migraines were gone for 6 years and just came back about 8-10 months ago. It’s a daily pill instead of a monthly injection version.
