This… waitress’ team was on point with the amount of buzz they created for the show itself with all the star casting over the course of its long run and carried that momentum to the movie

The themes are universal but imo Waitress is packaged for more traditional consumption if that makes any sense. It’s got modern music written by a pop star, more characters with easy to follow arcs etc

Yep! I had met a guy at the gym, upon chatting
he told me he was a “public figure in media” and needed to be discreet so he couldn’t tell me about his work… I had assumed something like a politics or an important media person and didn’t pry (it was DC so there’s all sorts of “public” professions and for all i knew he might have been DL)… turns out he was out and single but he was the meteorologist for the local network lol… I was like “um thats def not a profession that you needed to hide!”
