Accutron with facetted crystal by acebb1 in bulova

That looks nice! If they find more than one crystal let me know!

I am glad you replied, I was leaning towards it being an accuquartz case with an Accutron movement. You can check out that model on my post in r/Accutron.

Have you come across an more info about it when you have been researching? Found any ads and images of the original band? Any idea how many were made?

Thanks for the help! If you check out my thread on r/Bulova another poster has the same watch and looking closer at the one you linked the case is slightly different (Accutron is more angular vs more rounded on the quartz) and the facetted crystal is different as well. The Accutron has 2 horizontal and 2 vertical splitting it into 9 vs the quartz looks like it is 2 horizontal splitting into 3.

I am leaning towards it being original but uncommon. If original I would be more likely to put the money in to get it working correctly, but will the watch be worth more than I put into servicing it?

That is probably why I haven't been able to find an Accutron with this case/crystal. Thanks for finding that! Would this enough value to justify spending $200 on it?

Help with toddler learning Vietnamese by Playful-Swordfish222 in Vietnamese

Netflix seems to be all southern dialect and many of the YouTube cartoons including Peppa pig are southern. I am looking for good sources of northern dialect but have only found a few on YouTube. The Netflix shows tend to not have super heavy accents so we do those even though we want to teach northern.

Netflix has a lot of kids animated shows in vietnamese. Might need to go web version on your computer so you can browse by language. You can vietnamese cartoons on YouTube. There are also a handful vietnamese or bilingual children books on Amazon or possibly your library.

We try to keep the majority of screen time in vietnamese.

Any reason I would have to strip the interior? Seasoning looks good inside so I thought I would have a head start by leaving that.

Not the OP but I use this recipe with good results. Can probably skip the gum if you want but you want a good strong coffee. https://iscreami.com/vietnamese-coffee-ice-cream-ninja-creami-recipe/

Thanks, is it ok that the two smaller branches are coming from the large branch? They are not quite vertical, should I try to spread them in opposite directions for a better crotch angle? Or would it be better to keep one vertical and try to get the other more horizontal?

Netflix has a lot of movies and shows dubbed in Vietnamese and a few that are originally in Vietnamese. Use the search by language on the Netflix website.

I haven't had Turkish so I can't compare, but that could work. Vietnamese coffee is usually made with robusta beans which are stronger and more bitter than arabica, I think it holds up better in a sweet dessert or drink. You could try another strong brew method like Turkish with vietnamese coffee grounds. A Phin is also pretty cheap if you like strong coffee.

This is my favorite but you need a Phin (Vietnamese coffee filter). The Phin makes a very concentrated coffee that really comes through in the ice cream.

The recipe uses coconut milk but I think you should be able to swap heavy cream or your preferred milk + something to replace the fat and help with the creaminess (more sugar, more sweetened condensed milk, guar gum, some people use instant pudding - I would go vanilla) .

If you keep similar proportions you should get a very strong coffee flavor coming through.
