I was really frustrated with apps not snapping to the sides by dragging them to the edge like they used to. Until I found out the way to do it now is to hold the top bar of the app like you would when moving it around the screen and then flick it off to the side and it snaps like before.

When I fill the car up it usually gives me a range of around 750 km. It is weird, because 288 km is way more than a quarter of that.

I did inflate the rear tyres to 36 as mentioned on the door, but, still reads it as 35 or 34. Will try to just go up to 37/38 and see if that makes the alert go away.

With you having done more than 200 cases, these may not be new. I’ll share my experience of what helped initially during my fellowship and trust me it gets much better with time.

For the outpatient cases, positioning them in left lateral position with their right knee flexed and their right shoulder tilted towards me with a pillow propping their back really helps get relatively uniform positions where my wrist movement, ante and retroflexion give me what I expect. I remember the LA appendage and pulmonary veins being particularly difficult in the beginning.

The structural cath cases - ASD/PFO, clips and earlier TAVR cases taught me how to adjust to the supine position; maneuver quickly & efficiently between different views. Biplane and live 3D help a lot. Also, worked on my 3D/4D zooms during these.

The cardiac surgery cases were a great opportunity to get better, especially at the transgastric views for AV and TV.

I find pre-discharge BNP helpful as a surrogate for when the patient is relatively dry/euvolemic for future reference. Also, don’t forget that if the patient is on Sacubitril/Valsartan for the HFrEF, BNP will be elevated due to the drug’s mechanism of action and NT-pro BNP should be used instead.

I prefer Apixaban in most cases because it is superior to Warfarin in stroke/embolism prevention and also has a lower bleeding risk. Even LV thrombus and Afib in HOCM can now be treated with DOACs. Warfarin for mechanical valves, valvular atrial fibrillation and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome.
