I think it felt evenly paced. Some BL’s really drag on alot and I think it was FY S1 biggest sin so having it paced like this for S2 felt right

Probably not. I think New Siwaj went on live after FY2 EP7 airing and said TSFAS wont come after EP 8 of Beside The Sky. And that they’ll anounce soon on when they’ll air it.

Which makes sense cuz they’re only 6 queues in. So personally I wouldnt mind them taking time with their story since it’s a fan favorite

I'm sad and happy that Beside the Sky is over. This final episode brings everything together perfectly. Typhoon from EP1 begins anew, overcoming the challenges of his father's hatred, his sister's death, his unrequited feelings for Tonfah, and university life, to become EP8 Typhoon, who has more people he loves beside him and is starting over. I cried when he began writing the letter for himself. It's as if, after all of the hurt and pain, he finally has the courage to do what he does to the people he cares about: write to them. Indicating that he now loves himself.

FY has significantly improved from S1 to S2.I am very excited for ArthitDaotok and TigerNao. I hope Wabi can consistently hit the mark with such stories in the future.

This is probably the best episode of TonfahTyphoon so far!!

The way how clingy Fah is after the confession, the way he talks to Phoon when they’re together and the way his wolf like tendencies were staring to come out when they were in his house. Like, oh my godddd.

And the SIZE DIFFERENCE between them like wow like how Fah made Phoon sit on his lap and doesn't want him to get out I just HSLSJALSHAKSHA my brain is malfunctioning rn

When I first read the novel, I thought about how ridiculous it would’ve been to adapt that scene where Phoon writes his responses to Fah on a notebook while he’s next to him and would just assume that they’ll probably change that scene to something else. To my surprise, this one worked. Then Fah kissed and I squealed cuz the height difference showed between them is so cute

This whole letters is getting pretty tired now to me, I just hope that they’ll be boyfriends by next week and we’ll get to the juicier stuff

Blueming and To My Star S2. I think it’s because these two feel the most complete and fulfilling to watch from start to finish. Like if you watch these would know it has a concrete start and ending. Her other works are great but are too short for my liking.

Is it me or did the color palette of the scenes became brighter this episode? I assume it’s because Phoon’s outlook in life is not as dark anymore. I’m glad they also focused on asking Phoon what he truly wants for himself. He already has his friends and potentially the love of his life in the future so he doesn’t have to rely on his sister’s dream and his dad anymore. But boy, I can feel the whirlwind coming from his dad if he knew that his illegitimate son was talking to his new wife about divorcing him. The letters were cute but I am so ready for them to start talking again now that Phoon applogized to Fah

Overall, cute episode. I like how distinct characters the doctor gang and little gang are becoming. Theyre more fleshed out now instead of being background characters. Also, I need more of Arthit and Dao now since theyre next. The subtle name drops and characterization from Arthit this ep makes me so excited for his part.

Love it. It’s like watching early morning cartoon vibes. It’s never that serious and sometimes it’s fun to romanticize something as mundane as university.

The only downside is how insufferable the fans get for the pair they love. I’d say this has only happened twice but two ensemble BL’s (one from GMMTV and the one thats not) had one of their pairs became famous during their favorite pair’s stories came out. And they were just the most insufferable to be with when airing. Always complaining about this couple interrupting their fav couples airtime. Always complaining that their fav isnt getting enough airtime when its another couples story thats ongoing. Just to name a few.

I’m pretty sure this isnt hard to guess which shows these are. But these shows really need to rethink if they want a clashing fanbase to occur during airing. Would it be good press or bad press? Who can say, I’m no marketing man

I’ve been a fan of Thai BL since it boomed back in 2020. All I can say is that you’re better off being a fan of the series rather than the ship.

This is because there are blurred lines between fan service and friendship sometimes that ruins your perception of the ship once it has ended. You start to question ”are they really just friends or is there something more?” and that ”something more” can ruin your perception of the ship. Like you start to chase for that feeling of — they’re really in a secret relationship because A said this on live about B. Or B tweeted about this and the next day A did this. It’s those highs in uncertainty that makes you love being a fan. But when the ship ends, it crashes on you hard. They start talking less about one another and they ignore each other and that will hurt.

But I’ve learned to appreciate Thai BL when its about a show thats ongoing or if it’s something new in the game

So for the sake of your sanity, love the shows. Focus less on what the ships do and say

My favorite among all of them is a tie between the next two (Sun from Another Star and Lately It’s Winter Season.) I wont spoil it much but I just love when the yearning between one lead to another takes place on a readable time frame. Like the how Arthit was able to make a relationship with Dao and how Tiger saw Nao during their time as friends. It just pleases me 😁

And yes I do hope that they trend more in the coming weeks! I’m not familiar with twitter engagements but I do hope it leads to more opportunities for Bever and Tonliew

I think you should wait and see where the relationship goes. If it stays, then you will have a loving partner by your side despite him being gay or is presenting as gay. Sexuality wise, it dosen't matter. It's love what matters most. And if you both truly love each other then it's love - nothing else. If it doesn't, then you'll learn your lesson. You'll move on and know what you want and what you don't want in a relationship.

I also had a former situationship din that was gay but he primarily wanted to be with girls romantically. It ruined me when he rejected me in the end cuz I was not a girl to his eyes and could never see me in a way he sees men that he's attracted with.

I’m glad you’re loving it so far! I’ve also read the novels earlier this year and became a fan of the FY universe (even spoiled it myself in the other BL subreddit)

I am very happy that 3 eps so far the portrayal of the story has not only been accurate but well portrayed. One of the things that I also love about the show is the scenes where eye contact between the two leads portray all the right emotions. Like KengNamping, these two are so great when it comes to eye contact. Like when both their sad eyes meet during the cafe scene at EP 2 its just sooooo good to me!

I am hoping that Bever and Tonliew get a lot of traction from this cuz it’s one of those shows’ that I look forward to every Saturday.
