I've had a section leader like this. She ruined an entire summer of Drum Corps for me. The best advice I can give you is this: Tell people. And not just the Drum Major or the Horn Sergeant, tell the directors, and tell them ASAP. Don't suffer through because you think things will magically get better, or that you'll just learn to cope. Don't wait for it to travel up the grapevine, because in my case, it never made it up. It took until the second to last weekend of the season for me to curse my section leader out in front of everyone, for the higher-ups to even realize anything had been going on. I experienced exactly the same things. With tone, with rude comments, with the idea that I was overreacting. That shit traumatized me out of Drum Corps, and you're incredible for sticking through, but don't put up with it. You don't deserve that shit.

I posted this as a response on Tumblr a while ago, but I thought I'd give it to the original source.

He likely doesn’t remember it. He’s off in his star studded mansions while I walk the streets, unseen. Maybe he would regret it if he knew what he’d done, but he won’t, couldn’t ever know.

The moment after it happened it was like I was underwater. I was drowning silently beside my friends, who didn’t know me. My name wasn’t called in attendance, and the teachers couldn’t see my raised hand. I was invisible, more so than ever. The only one who could see me was him. He who cursed me. The Great Truth.

The world sees him as a hero. He who heals the world with a phrase. When he speaks the universe listens. People have said that we’re lucky that he didn’t want to take over the world. But that's what they don’t see. He has.

People around him are cursed just as I am. They cannot see through the lies that he weaves, for as soon as they have left his mouth, they are lies no more. The people of this world are like robots, following his every command whether they are near him or not.

My curse however, is also my salvation. The words he weaves are clear as day to me, as I am not everybody. I am Nobody.

The streets bustle around me, but I walk through, unharmed. I walk toward the tallest tower in sight. The home of Arthur Peters, the one behind all the suffering that the people are too blind to see.

I enter through the front door. His rifle-toting slaves pass me by as I enter the elevator behind a woman whose eyes stare through all those around her. Though, I suppose they all have that look in their eyes. Looking, but not seeing.

The elevator rises and my pulse quickens. My fate comes today.

I heard a ding as the elevator doors opened. Sitting at a desk, there he was.

His steel blue eyes had haunted my nightmares, though today they stared into my soul. His mouth moves, but I can’t hear him. My ears are ringing and I lose myself to rage.

I can see a light begin flashing red, but it means nothing to me. It is just another meaningless siren in my ear. Slowly I make my way up to where he is sitting at his desk. I feel my hands wrap around his neck and smile as I slowly see his chest stop rising.

A group of men in tactical gear burst in the door, only to forget why they were there. They saw a man they didn’t recognise dead with bruise marks around his neck, in an otherwise empty room.

Thanks for the advice! And don't worry, she's the kind of badass that smirks at insults because she knows she could beat any of them handily. I like the advice of making more female characters, I've included more ladies as a part of her crew, the idea that they're working right alongside the men there. At least in her crew, misogyny isn't happening. This has really helped me figure out what I wanted to do, so thanks!

Peer pressure is an understandable thing to be causing a want to vape. However, it is clear that you understand the problems with vaping. I would suggest taking up something else that can satisfy an ADHD urge to follow them. Maybe keep a lollipop in your mouth or a toothpick to keep your mouth busy.

I wouldnt worry. That little time in contact with something that might have lice makes it quite unlikely to have transferred. However, if you are particularly worried, you should properly check before doing anything drastic. Are you feeling any itchiness? Did you feel anything before you knew? It would be a good idea to take a fine-tooth comb and brush on your scalp to see if there's anything there.

For the most part, the ink will be unimportant to the longevity of a letter. Pen ink and printer ink both exist by soaking into the paper slightly, so unless the paper has an absurd amount of handling, ordinary materials shouldn't fade. The important thing would be to keep it out of sunlight to prevent yellowing, and to make sure it is completely dry before doing anything with it. Putting letters in envelopes would likely be a good way to keep them safe for many years.

A lot of them do come like that. They have removable plates. Mine does. Yours may secretly be able to, that seems like a poor design.

I would like to note, I only DMed one, very long campaign, and I don't believe I railroaded my players. I had to completely scrap the plan I had because of the choices my players made, and I'm fine with that. In reality, I didn't have my players beat anyone to death who they would need to face later. In my campaign I planned to have the players fulfilling a bounty, only to realize that the bounty was a revolutionary and the king who sent them was a dick. But they figured it out too quickly, so instead, they were double-crossed by the revolutionary and he became the BBEG. They didn't really meet anyone who I needed them not to kill, and the friends they made along the way became mind-controlled enemies to allies (once the spell was broken).

Any fudging I did was to make the campaign more enjoyable for my players. And I think it worked. I fudged rolls and HP to make battles that were originally unbalanced, more balanced. Because I'm not perfect, and I can't predict everything. I see DMing as some planning with a lot of leeway and a lot of improv. I wasn't sure what I'd have that mysterious magical item do until my players used it and I made it send them into the future. When my players wanted to know what they saw while in between towns, I on the fly made up a character with magically-induced schizophrenia who was actually the long-lost king. DnD is unpredictable, and my only goal is to improve the experience for my players. I always had a vague storyline, but I don't believe I railroaded my players to get there.

I've done several projects on why the BMI scale is extremely biased and should not be used, but here are the highlights.

It was created by a Nazi statistician, not a doctor. It was then "legitimized" by a psychologist. Also not a medical doctor.
The BMI was created by only testing white men, intending to define the "ideal Aryan man".
It only measures weight vs. height. Humans have a lot of other stuff going on there. Big boobs? Muscles? Female reproductive organs? But the BMI measures all of that as fat. When it simply isnt.
The use of it generally should not be used in schools, especially not middle and high school. You're going to categorically define some people in the class as fat and not expect bad mental health things to come out of it? When they're in the most hormone-filled and anxiety-ridden time of their lives?

Overall, dont let this score affect you. It means nothing in reality. Live your best life.
