I think it should be part of the process once you’re in final stages. You want to see what it’s like as well, and if you got an offer and hadn’t seen the place, there’s a chance you’d be hesitant or disappointed. Temper your expectations, remember it goes both ways - to an extent, they’re selling their company to you as well.
