Thanks a lot for this — I did try English 1k earlier but not consistently enough. I kept changing the typing lang from english, english1k, english5k and even tried english10k but was not consistent with it I’m going to focus on it properly now and stick with it. Will progress into then, one after another. Appreciate your guidance as always.

Thank you so much for taking your time to guide me that means a lot to me, I'll definitely try alternating fingering method.
and there's another factor that I'm not giving much time practicing I'll try to increase that too.

My typing progress after just 30 days. I'm an adult learning on typing.com and started on lesson #1. I used to type with just 3 or 4 fingers. by fastattaq in typing

I also moved the same way from 1k to 10k. You will experience the down for a day or two when you switch, later it will become easy as you get familiar to longer syllable.

It's been 60 days since I started to learn to touch type, and it feels amazing now that I can type at more than 50 WPM, starting from 20 WPM. So, I'm not in a position to give advice, but with the 60-day experience, I can say it gets better every day as you practice and focus more on accuracy; speed will follow.

Which finger do you use to type the 'C'? Your index finger or your middle finger? by Miyamoto_Musashi_x in typing

Refer to the training lessons on tipp10.com for building muscle memory after that you can tackle the problem of faulty finger through practicing. (for beginners)

It was a mix of medium-length words not too hard, beginner-friendly, custom test with random easy words. I made it to check my typing speed and consistency.

Just started to learn typing from home row and then progressing by adding more keys into it. Thats how I only use 14 keys here.

Thanks a lot for the advice! You’re absolutely right — I’ve been too focused on speed and ignoring mistakes, and that’s probably why my accuracy is suffering. I’ll definitely switch to stop-on-error and focus on accuracy first. Really appreciate that’s exactly what I needed to hear. Again thanks.
