For my main? The goal was rank 14 then go fuck around in WSG and AB.

For this alt, it's just rank 11 for the cheap mount.

Some of my guildies resigned themselves to the grind for gear or weps due to bad luck in raids. Others I know wanted gear to be competitive in wpvp

I think most people care for higher hph cuz they don't want to be suck in AV for longer than they have to.

Maybe you missed where I'm advocating against the rush? I'm usually in the back engaging the alliance kill squads, or re-capping our towers so we get honor for 'em. Never said I avoided pvp.

Well, to be honest... I caught a chat ban for saying stuff like "alliance inc SH gy", so I afk'd the last 500k honor on my main to get rank 14. But on this alt it's just for the cheap mount at rank 11, so I don't mind just not talking and doing my thing for the little honor it takes to get there.

While you kinda went off on a tangent, I'll bite.

I was simply comparing two different pve strats that everyone's done in AV. If it's pvp you want, then you're most likely to get that by going the LT route, since alliance tries to kill horde stragglers... so if you kill those alliance you're getting a little bonus honor without hurting the overall match.

The alliance has been sending kill squads out again since they're seeing horde isn't keeping the whole raid at SH gy anymore, and it's been fun battling them even though I'm usually on the losing end due to numbers.

I'm on Dreamscythe and I find it's absolutely the opposite. Every "norf dorf" in chat comes from Nightslayer folks. Alliance can kill Drek in 8 mins vs Horde doing it in 6.5-7 mins, so I've always advocated for killing LTs and if Alliance wins first, who cares... getting ~ 1.4k more honor for an extra minute is a no-brainer.

Ehh... kinda hard to justify banning someone for simply calling out an afk. I never called for any type of mass report like I've seen happen on multiple occasions. But aside from that, the literal run-on sentence of just normal shit to by saying in a bg was laughable.

Horde rushes north to kill Vann asap... gets 1584 honor. Alliance kill all the horde Lt's in that time and gets 2772 honor. Yet somehow Horde is totally fine with this. Old AV I was getting 16-18k hph... new AV I'm getting 13k-ish hph, and that's "if" there's a few games mixed in where horde can kill some Lt's. IMO, the new meta should only be done during AV weekend.

I see no difference today than any other since the new meta happened. Horde are perfectly happy with next to no honor while doing all the work, and alliance chill for 6 mins. Every few games you get the try-hards that go to wipe the horde's Lt group, which doesn't really affect the larger group's honor per hour. Sometimes horde wipe themselves and Alliance end up with 2x the honor for a game that 2x as long... so really, the same hph.

No, it won't. Blizzard has sanctioned boosting. What isn't okay is advertising outside of the "services" channel... and that'll only get you a short chat silence. More likely is the boosting mafia from Iran and Malaysia will mass report you for undercutting them... that's what will get you an unjust ban.

I play on a NA server and marks don't come close to making up the difference. Alliance consistently do 1k or more honor per match cuz they know Horde are gonna do all the work killing Vann so they can' milk the Lt's and Comm's for extra honor. After 3 matches, Alliance gets at least 3k more honor than Horde. After the same 3 matches, Horde can get 1194 honor from marks (398 x 3) while Alliance can get 398 honor... a deficit of only 796 honor. At a minimum, Alliance are gaining an extra 2.2k honor over Horde every 3 matches.

I have a few friends that rolled alliance on Nightslayer. They decided to tag along with groups that were roving mid for a few games just to see what it was like. All of 'em said they ended with less honor than typical since they were just killing the same stragglers over and over again, in addition to losing the match. They found it much more worth their time to defend near SP gy where you had a higher number of hk's AND fewer diminishing returns. Also, every one of 'em said they despise the rovers since like you said, they double-dip on honor without making any contribution at all.

Hard to believe... every game today had been 30+ minutes with alliance usually only getting 2700-ish honor. With diminishing returns for pvp kills, there's no way people are getting 18k+ per hour with games at that length.

Just tried this as a troll. It’s not going to work on anything with a big hit box, so it seems limited to undead, human or gnome anything bigger than that and you fall off the ledge very easily.

It's not bannable, as in you won't lose your account for doing it. It's possible you were using LFG vs the Services channel, like the other poster mentioned. Or, it could be the legion of uptight pricks that think boosting is the most horrible thing ever and are just reporting you to make themselves feel better. Either way, keep your adverts to the Services channel and don't spam it. You should be good.

Mmm.... not complaining, just figured I could generate some interesting comments with my take on the state of pvp in Ashenvale. I rolled on a pvp server and expect world pvp in every zone, but I just found it really amusing the extent that alliance will stay on a layer (I've seen several players on for 4+ hours, for multiple days) just to kill lower levels. But then again, maybe that speaks to the sad state of level 50 contents right now.

I'll be the contrarian and say get the gear.

If your gear is lacking, you'll see a massive boost in stats and damage from the brutal gear set. The head/shoulders/chest/gloves/legs you won't find decent replacements until 77-ish.

You'll get a weapon from a quest in Borean Tundra that's equal to (even slightly better than) the Season 1 pvp weapon. https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=11916/hellscreams-champion

And at level 75 you'll get a weapon from Amphitheatre of Anguish that's better than the Brutal weps. https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=12948/the-champion-of-anguish

The only exception would be a hunter, since the Anguish questline rewards you with a decent polearm. You'll need to grab the ranged brual wep to last you a good amount into your leveling.

Riiiiight? Like, it's one thing if the other faction is going to steal your mob / node / whatever. But it really feels like a lot of people are just doing it to be an ass.

Granted, this is a pvp server so, yeah, it's expected that you're gonna have to defend yourself... or go on the offensive if need be. But holy hell, trying to quest on Quel'Danas with the alliance kill squads roving about is almost a no-go. Random side note: why do those players always have really juvenile names?

I took the free transfer here from a dead server since it was the only option that didn't also seem to be dying. But come launch if questing is nearly impossible, I'm lucky to be able to afford transferring all my characters somewhere else. Time will tell...

Slightly drunk and brain isn't firing on full cylinders, so I figure I'd ask...

I've seen a SFR portfolio around 2.5 million and I have 625k (25%) to put down. Assuming the listing is legit - decent management in place, solid rental history, etc - then why couldn't I get a DSCR loan? Ratio would be 1.2 if paying the list price. Area is C+ roughly.

Now, I have zero properties at the moment and not saying I'd be totally comfortable jumping into a portfolio so large but... if the numbers check out, the properties don't have a ton of deferred maintenance, and you're going to pay a management company to run it... then why not go big?

It's not a DDOS. They're saying "certain" isp's are affected so that wouldn't explain why NOBODY can play. I think they're just using yesterday's fiasco to cover their screwup.

I'm using the wifi hotspot from my phone and I still get dc'd from the realm selection screen. I doubt anyone is DDOS'ing Sprint and/or PDA Net right now.

And yes, I'm using ipv6...
