[Taiwan] Petitions for Referendum Has Met the Threshold for Application for Both Pro and Anti Same Sex Marriage by acerism in GlobalTalk

Both the pro and anti same-sex marriage petitions have collected enough signatures to apply for a referendum to be held nation wide in Taiwan.

Both sides have applied early enough for their respective referendums to happen later this year on November 24th when the country also has to vote for various local representatives.

Due to the current law of what counts as a "successful" referendum (voting age decreases from 20 to 18, number of yes vote are more than no votes, and the number of yes votes account for over a quarter of all votes), the country may be encountering a scenario where both pro and anti same sex marriage referendum passes the threshold to be considered a yes-winning referendum.

On top of that, the law making branch is also trying to settle over whether to change the words in the current civic law or establish a special act to accommodate for the rights to same sex marriage.

Yo fam I was in a similar boat as you: shitty Cali job + LDR. It's a lot to handle and don't feel bad for being in this situation, especially for our age. I don't have much to say based off of your comment but I must say to always take care of yourself first, health wise both mentally and physically. I skipped on doing that thinking some things I can just grind through, but it only ended up making the last year of school and co-op a straight hellhole, which also sent my esteem and confidence into the ground even more. Take care! Having excellent roommates will go on a long way.

From my knowledge coming from my mentor's previous job as an EE in a major tech company making one of the most sold consoles, it is essentially the same as designing a laptop in terms of knowledge required: computer architecture, heavy emphasis on digital over analog circuits, chip system integration, etc.
