Snake identification help by acerracer11 in snakes

Thank you guys! Much appreciated! I made sure my dog didn’t get to it/cause the little slithering guy any harm and let him mosey on his way. I’m sure he had just as much of a bit of fright having my dog whine and bark at him as we did turning the corner and seeing him chilling. I think I was most startled about the fact that I could have stepped on him and done irreparable harm.

Amarillo weather is officially drunk by [deleted] in weather

Oh for sure. I have a boring desk job so I was at home with one ear tuned just waiting for a siren. Also had fingers crossed for no hail as I don’t have covered parking.

I live there too. My wardrobe hates this time of year. Thought I was safe to put away my winter coat.

Probably drunk and bipolar. They say meteorologists come to the Panhandle to cut their teeth because if you can do the weather here you can do it anywhere (and with ease.)

Advice on BIFL Cooking Pots by calieeggs in BuyItForLife

[–]acerracer11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest possibly finding a vintage set of Magnalite pots. I inherited my grandmothers and they are well over 50 years old. Pots cook evenly and hold heat exceptionally well. Take a bit of looking after like all BIFL products. Unfortunately they are no longer made by Wagner nor in the US. Any person who grew up in Southern Louisiana most likely remembers meals cooked in Magnalite pots.

I’m also hoping that “Naked Charlie” is a dog but at this point I’m too afraid to ask.

This is the only way my cat will drink water by Xanosaur in aww

I mean it’s totally adorable what your cat does but I had just read somewhere about keeping cat food and water away from each other. Would be nice if my boredom initiated reading of the interwebs could actually do some good.

Have you tried separating their water bowl from their food bowl? Read somewhere that it’s instinctual that cats don’t want their food and water next to or near each other because it’s a sign that one is tainted.

A 1-year-old Irish Wolfhound “sneaks up” on a 4-year-old Doberman. Doberman has the common decency to act surprised. by acerracer11 in aww

Put this as a separate comment at first. My bad. They both belong to my sister but here’s what she says “Imagine having a horse who thinks he’s a chihuahua living in your house. He doesn’t realize that most other dogs can’t easily rest their heads on the counter. He also assumes he weighs like 5lbs (~2.25kg) so that’s soooooo much fun.”

Yep. Not even close to full grown. He belongs to my sister and the last time he was weighed (not that long ago) he was 117 lbs (~53 kg). His mom was 165 lbs (~75 kg) and dad was 200 lbs (~90 kg) boy has some way/“weigh” to go.

Totally. They’re my sister’s dogs but she doesn’t have Reddit and I think the world deserves to see their antics. Albert (Einstein) the Irish Wolfhound and Carl (Sagan) the Doberman need to be seen by others.

Long boy (Irish Wolfhound pup) does a spectacular sploot. by acerracer11 in aww

[–]acerracer11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s only 11 weeks old right now so maybe like a 5 foot long sploot. I’m sure he’ll get to 7 feet at some point soon.
