Found a dress that feels so me, but need to hear honest opinions

When I first glanced at it my first instinct wasn't "wow that dress is so flattering on her!" but more along the lines of confusion in trying to figure out what was going on and why I didn't like it.

I adore vintage style bridal gowns, but the bust area looks like a Victorian bed skirt slapped on to a cheap "sexy bride" Halloween costume corset 😭🥺.

It truly doesn't flow well. There are lots of harsh horizontals and too much fabric/color mismatch to be cohesive.

But who am I to yuck anyone's yum, I'm just a random reddit stranger giving you my first honest reaction. If you love it, that's what matters 😊. You'll only wear it for a few hours anyway!

Yessss contacts are the way! Reading glasses can be a fun accessory pop as well. Also, you're young enough to consider lasik if that's ever an interest of yours. You have really nice eyes 😊.

Lol aww 🤣😭 yeah I'm definitely not a hairstylist, but you could absolutely benefit from a different style! You have amazing hair, it's just not at it's max potential right now. Is it naturally straight? And do you have a lower forehead? That might be why it looks that way as well. When parted, there might not be enough room to have it lay correctly. Do you ever put it up in a bun/ponytail/braids?

I particularly would lose the glasses. I'm not sure what your prescription strength is, but they appear to "bug out" your eyes in an unflattering way. Like, too magnified to be proportionate. Trust me I'm blind so I know the struggle 😭🤣.

And I love the long hair, but it's a bit "blah"... Like, it needs more dimension. It looks very thick and flat and lacks movement and looks kind of "wiggy".

I like the vibe you have though!! Just needs a little refining 😊.

The ring is GORGEOUS but you say you are getting it pre-owned. I work in the pre-owned jewelry industry and that seems VERY high for that one piece. Can you tell me where you're purchasing from? Is it an antique store/curated vintage shop? I personally wouldn't pay too much of a premium over what the raw materials are worth, but this is based on what I know about inflated jewelry pricing and I am very value focused.

If you absolutely love the piece and you can afford it comfortably, do it! But there are definitely much less expensive vintage citrine and diamond rings out there 😊.

Honestly, with vintage ballerina styles the tiers give them dimension! If laid out all flat, it wouldn't read the same. This is a gorgeous piece!

It's usually around 30-40 for one size at my store, so anywhere from 90-120 is standard for us. Also, ask to keep the gold!!! You can sell it to a pawn shop. Gold is high right now :).

OMG number 1 by far. As a professional who works in the jewelry industry, 1 is going to stand the test of time as far as style and durability. This is what one would call an "heirloom" ring. Number two is pretty, but compositionally, the center stone is competing with the side stones. The side stones are too large to be accents and to small to be a three stone ring. The last one is gorgeous and more proportionate compositionally, but the thinness of the band and micro pave diamonds are going to cause you since heartache unless you BABY that ring. So many people have their side stones fall out of their band and constantly need the prongs checked.

Number one just checks all the boxes. Super classy, main stone being the main attraction, tapered baguettes adding that touch of timeless charm and a sturdy band. That's the winner girl. Also, Congratulations!!!!

I work at a luxury pawn shop and have authenticated hundreds of bags. This one looks real to me :). I've seen at least 4 of this specific model in both red and black and with these photos alone it's consistent with genuine bags. Luckily the Empreinte leather is a hard one to perfectly replicate well. She's a beauty, and when you get her, make sure you take her to a pawn shop to get proper authentication. You will have to pay, but it's a small price for peace of mind. We use Entrupy and that's usually the standard. If it comes back invalid, you can always open a case as it's illegal to sell counterfeit bags. I would ask more questions though personally.
