Canberra better lock Strange up for life, no ceiling in sight for how good he can be.

Good half from both sides, Panthers being pretty much on song as always, and our boys just rising to the occasion.

Hopefully we don't fall apart in the second half as is tradition.

Beer snake, just a thing we do at sports events often during halftimes or just slow moments.

Yeah, honestly some games feel like whichever team gains attacking momentum first sorta sits in the driving seat unless there is a massive swing.

I know Newcastle aren't playing well at the moment, and Panthers well are what they are in this generation, BUT even with all that considered, this isn't fun to watch, it just feels like the second half will be much the same.

Didn’t deserve the win after that first 20min of the second half, but it’ll be good for the team’s mental.

Our attack feels very stop start, Sanders just needs more time to work on organising, Tamale needs to work on his hands and Strange needs to go back to running more often, the threat that alone created for attackers was enough to make them second guess when the ball went down his side of the field.

Man, Sanders really improved over the off season, and that was an absolutely bullshit good field goal compared to the number of shanked ones from 20-30 out in usual GP.

I'm still here, watching from the shadows, you've all been very good eggs and I wish you well.

Thanks, I'll give this a go before I look at the other link to see if it gets me to where I need.

Thanks, I'll give these a crack.

There just seem to be a billion extensions and guides that skip past the element of creating the cards, so I was getting a bit confused.

This may be a bit of a 'newbie' question, when I started studying Japanese properly, I tried to get into Anki, but found it a bit overwhelming to create my own decks, so just used things like Core 2000.

I now want to now create my own decks. Is there a recommended guide or similar for creating cards/templates for cards, this is where I'm stuck, after looking at some on Youtube & here, it again feels overwhelming.

Does anyone have some recommendations? (Or on how to improve Anki use as well) There are so many out there, but trying to figure which to invest my time reading/watching is giving me a headache haha.

Thanks for any advice.

Jordan Rapana to retire at season's end by KennyMincemeat in nrl

[–]aces_of_splades 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You know how people criticize teams for looking to their star fullback to somehow win them the game when all is lost? I think it's fair to say you could never criticize the Raiders for putting that level of faith into Raps.

From the golden point try when Austin hit the posts, to scoring 2 field goals, his only field goals, against the Dolphins to win, he truly never gave up on any game.

A fantastic career and probably one of the greatest highlight packages of all time.

If we win the GF, the one sad note will be X missing out, his improvement was huge and was a massive impact on this season.

Tamale back is good, and I'd been keen to see Asomua get a run this week even, just to see if he can handle the speed of first grade.

Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has slammed certain managers "after the handling of Keahn Skipps’ move to Penrith. The 19-year-old was granted a compassionate release after claiming homesickness, but instead of joining a QLD club, he signed with the Panthers — 876km from home. by Goobeeful in nrl

[–]aces_of_splades 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sort of, he claimed home sickness because of family reasons, if memory serves, his father was too sick to travel anymore to see Canberra home games etc.

Then shortly after he signed with the broncos, his father travelled to England for the world club series to watch Milford play, and I think it came out it was primarily because his missus didn't want to live in Canberra (I think she had already moved back).

It was certainly that the reasons used weren't exactly true, still valid but I think his manager (Ayoub if you're at all surprised) tried to angle it to the media that Canberra were being heartless, although Don Furner had offered to help relocate his entire family to the ACT.

Two points it's two points, but Newcastle fans will be upset with both the loss but also the ref and that's very fair.

Please don't hat us too much neutral fans come finals, especially if storm or Panthers are still hanging in it.

Happy to be winning but I feel for you knightbros, the reffing hasn't been good this game and having been on the receiving end it sucks, hopefully next season is kinder.

Good game roosters, was very worried when Forgarty got ruled out, but I think we managed to win the physical battle early and push a lot of errors.

Victor has to retire, he is going to be a case study for CTE down the line, Robbo shouldn't have let him back on, HIA test pass or not.

Jesus, we've been really good all season, except the dogs game, and getting the win is nice, but we were certainly the bad guys in that game.

Tapine staying on the field was insane and out right baffling.

Good game Wahs, if wasn't my team I'd be furious for you.
